I never like to write bad reviews as I like to support local businesses but a recent, absolutely terrible experience prompted this.I had ordered a small takeout order since I was too tired to cook anything and was hoping for a nice simple meal. Not my first time here so I expected everything to be straightforward. That was not the case. They had me waiting over an hour for my order. I had to sit inside their restaurant, being bit by mosquitos and seeing orders that were placed after me being delivered. I had asked about my order 3 times to different staff members with the response of "I will check on your order" only to get no answer. After I did receive my order, there were no apologies or explanations. The sushi is about average, same as most other mid-tier sushi place in this city. The worst part was that I was asked to pay before receiving my order and I decided to tip in advance to support their staff. My mistake...
This was the worst experience of my life. I will absolutely never be back here. 2 hours late and I sat inside for my food pickup. It was clear they had enough people working too. General manager was just so obnoxious. Couldn’t pay me enough to ever go back.
Apparently spending $75 on sushi isn’t enough to allow someone to eat a salad form another location. A policy I note rudely enforced while eating outside with nearly not another person around. We will return when you eliminate this policy
Food was okay not so great.Worst customer service experience.Server was insisting to put high tip in the electronic payment system.Personally did not like that. This place is not good for vegetarian and vegan person.
Best sushi I've ever tasted. Elevated philly roll...amazing. Deluxe spicy tuna...phenomenal. Seoul train roll...scrumptious. Mesclun salad...so tasty. Miso soup...comfortingHighly recommend
Love the food, nice presentation. Service was decent. Price matches area. Would come again.
The miso marinated black cod is amazing and is my new favorite Raku dish.
Great sushi, rolls and good lunch specials
Raku is literally one of the best restaurants in DC. I’ve been there several times. Everything on the menu is just delicious. Just try! It really really good.
Warm atmosphere with fast service but the food wasn’t tasty. I don’t like the sushi and they didn’t change it or cancel it after I told them. Absolutely first and last visit.
