I had the volcano and it was awesome. Thank you to the young lady that recommended I get the final layer of hot sauce on the side…good call.
just ate there and it was such a great experience. staff was wonderful, food was great, and atmosphere was relaxed. will definitely return when I come back to visit dc!
Sauces are so heavy in flavor to overpower the fish taste, with an heavy presence of garlic, not a typical poke flavor profile. Fish was not particularly fresh.
This is the freshest poke in the area. The restaurant has a wide variety or you can build your own. At Poke Papa, the staff is so helpful and welcoming. Which is very important, especially if it’s your first time eating poke. I highly recommend them! My overall rate is 9/10
Pleasant surprise. Good quality ingredients. Decent prices for that part of DC. Staff were very friendly, polite, and patient. All the food looked fresh and the prep area was clean. Most importantly, I really liked the spices (got the K-pop bop which is Gochujang). I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area.
Loved this poké! It was super easy to stop in and order, and we took it to go. All of the ingredients felt really fresh and well prepared (and chopped). All of the staff I spoke with was kind and friendly, which definitely isn’t always the case!Loved all of the options for proteins, toppings and sauces! Everything was really delicious. This will definitely be our go to poke spot in the city.
Our family of 5 came here for dinner. We ordered make your own bowls. My 2 youngest shared a bowl. Everyone was very pleased with their food and the people who work there are ridiculously friendly and kind. They offered us samples of various ingredients so that we could make informed choices. They offered our kids little cups for soda and they enjoyed their different soda flavors. We tried the mango ice dessert and they gave the kids mochi for free as well.I wish all businesses were so generous and friendly. Any time we're in that area we'll be back! Just wish they had more location in Virginia.Highly rated for food quality, portion, and prices. Poke Papa and poki DC are my two favorite poke places in Washington dc. I really can't distinguish between the two in terms of taste and quality. The primary differentiation I would say is that poki DC has free zoodles Poke Papa offers more premium topping such as crab salad shrimp octopus scallops.Otherwise they are both priced very similar and the same great taste your know and love. You can't go wrong ordering anythingTip for the price I recommend ordering a regular vs snack size. You get significantly larger portion
