Excellent service excellent food an excellent happy hour where local craft beers are only $5 an a slice of thin crust pizza is $4.50. Prices are fair an the deep dish Chicago south side pizza is amazing. The environment is clean and the waiters are always friendly an serve you with a smile. I highly recommend.
It's hard to describe the place without sounding pejorative, but it has these old hunter lounge chandeliers, old fast good diner tables with some 18th or older century portraits, brick walls and hip oldies meet new EDM music. Despite all this weird fusion atmosphere, the place is on the charming side. The service is nice and fast, albeit not the most professional at times from the staff that isn't serving you directly. The food is great, and the pizza ingredients are splendid. You can pretty much build anything your mind can ever imagine about what a perfect pizza is to your taste buds.I wouldn't say it's on the pricey side, but be prepared to spend anywhere between 50 to 70$ with everything included for two people.PS The place also does have a kid's crayons and kids cups so it's nice that it thinks of the little ones.
Exceptional staff and pizza. We had a large group and they were quick and efficient. It was a hit with everyone. the atmosphere was great too
Last night in DC and pizza was on our RADAR screen. Pi Pizza was close walking distance to our hotel so we gave it a try. Very glad we did. Friendly waitstaff had us seated and sipping very good Margaritas while looking the menu over. Nice atmosphere and bar looked like it would be a good place to be. They were out of Garlic Knots, surprising but they do receive high praise in other’s reviews. We opt for the dry rubbed and broiled veggies. These turned out to be a great choice, a nice mix of carrot planks, cauliflower and broccoli crowns all seasoned and charred to perfection and a solid starter for us, really tasty and accompanied by a cooling tzatziki type sauce. We ultimately went with a build your own thin crust pie, with basil pesto, mixed mushrooms and roasted garlic toppings. Wow, after the great veggies, this pizza was full of wonderful flavors. Piping hot with a nice crisp crust, just the right amount of sauce and cheese foundation to really let the other toppings shine. A really good pizza and we washed it down with a couple more Margaritas. Highly recommend Pi Pizza if you’re visiting DC and have a hankering for a great pie.
Very happy with the gluten free pizza. So to avoid confusion: gluten free crust is a version of a thin crust. All pizzas can be prepared as a gf version, but it's always one type of crust.Back to pizzas :) very tasty, we did half with just pepperoni and half with one of the prepared sets. The pre-defined combinations are a bit much, but you always have a choice. GF crust was of very good quality.
Good beer selection. Good pizza. Attentive and friendly staff. Within walking distance of the major sites. Cozy and chill environment.
Even on a Monday night there is a bit of a wait here. 20-30 minutes was average when we went at 6. They are known for the deep dish and it is very good. Thin crust pleased the kids as it was a typical brick oven pizza flavor. Easy upscale pizzaria atmosphere. Staff was very nice.
After a long weekend in Washington where we faced slow service, staffing issues, unfriendly and overworked staff everywhere we went, Pi Pizzeria restored our faith. The place has an excellent vibe, but what was best was having servers who seemed happy and service oriented. Despite a good crowd, the servers -- especially our bar tender who also helped on the tables -- were prompt, efficient and friendly. Not only did our server checked in repeatedly, but so did others. Even the kitchen staff who brought our food (in good time) were friendly. Whatever they are doing at Pi, most other places in Washington should emulate. Oh, and the pizza was terrific! So was the ambience and the price. Throw in a good choice of craft beer and some funky swag, and you have a cool place for couples or families that you can count on. Well done Pi staff!!
Best crust on a Pizza I‘ve ever eaten. This Pizza is in my Top 3 list all-time Pizza. Location and waitresses were also perfect!
The best made-to-order pizza I've had in a while! It will take some time to get to you, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and fantastic food!! Pleanty of options for vegitaians too.
