Omg!!! Awful food , service is surprisingly bad! I have never visited place like that. That bad..
Stopped by here for lunch on our way to be tourists. Got a veggie soup and BLT. Outdoor seating was nice and quiet, and only 1 block from House office buildings and the LOC. The veggie soup had maybe a handful of veggies in it, was weak and seemed to have an asian flavoring to it - rice vinegar? The BLT was white bread (think wonderbread), mayo, two strips of bacon, a slice of tomato (not ripe) and the white part of two iceberg lettuce leaves. I didn't expect artisanal level food but maybe something that wasn't so clearly cheap. Really underwhelming. Got to Le Bon Cafe next door.
Fantastic breakfast spot. Stocked w alllllll the condiments and the customer service is the best, very friendly. Food great and came quickly
The waitress was a little rude. i figured whatever let it go. We ordered our breakfast our food came out different times. ok let it go. Then I noticed there was a tiny hair in my food and that hit the spot The waitress thinking I was stupid because I owned a Restaurant before tells me it was the brush when they wash the dishes not even three minutes later a black cat is roaming around the diner jumping on the booth and the stools. I don't know the rules in Washington but in New York animals are not allowed in the kitchen that's not hygienic. Not only that no apology and I had to pay half a breakfast because the part owner cat’s hair was in my food. Gross !!
Stopped n at Pete's Diner for a power breakfast before hitting the mall. The food was tasty and the prices reasonable. Service was very fast and friendly. This will be my goto breakfast spot when I return.
Incredible sausage patty, French toast, eggs, omelettes, hash browns/home fries, bacon-egg-cheese on toast sandwich, coffee, OJ, all of it top top top, and fast!Great diner!
Loved this family owned and run restaurant. There were clearly regular customers. We were treated well and the food was quick and delicious. I highly recommend Pete’s.
Great little local gem! The staff is super friendly and food is great! Definitely gives to old timey diner vibes!
Great unassuming American breakfast spot for the family next to the Capitol. Our foodie toddler loved the chocolate chip pancakes and we, her parents, loved the coffee and breakfast burritos. The first experience was good enough we returned. I also enjoyed the banana pancakes, and highly recommend them. The items are priced very reasonably. The staff is friendly and it is also a pet friendly spot- they made friends with my Golden right away :) They also have 2 bird feeders and a couple families of birds living around the shop. Overall inviting, friendly, unassuming and great.
Its quaint but they have fast and friendly service.
