Kennedy served us the best coffee we've had in DC, and the pastries were fabulous. Will definitely be back!

Consistently out of certain items. Every time I have placed an order with them, they have called to cancel part or all of my order. They have good pastries but having to go back and forth with them every single time is a hassle I can go without

Got some coffee and pastry. Coffee and expresso was OK. Hot chocolate was excellent. Not sweet but good mouth feel. Also not as rich as some I’ve had. Apricot anglaise also very good. No sweet glaze on the apricots, so you could really get the sourness of the fruit. Not what I expected, although a welcome surprise.

The selection of baked goods and sweets drew me in but the overall experience left me underwhelmed. The atmosphere is appealing but the ordering experience was unpleasant. I felt rushed and questioned at every turn. I walked up to the counter with my vaccine card and ID ready based on what I had seen from customers that were in line before me. She seemed confused and asked if I planned on dining in. After ordering my vegetable quiche, chocolate almond croissant, and amaretto hot chocolate with almond milk, I found a table near the barista. She brought me my drink and for the cost, I would have rather had some instant hot chocolate mix poured into warm milk. It was nothing to write home about. If you are in a pinch and want to grab a sandwich or salad, I would say this is your place. If you want a nice warm drink and baked good, I might consider looking into other options. I would go back to try out other sweets but only if I was with someone else that insisted we go to this location in particular.Tl;dr PAUL Franklin Square is pricey and underwhelming but it will satiate your desire for a niche meal and drink.

Lots of baked goods and French style cafe items. I got the croque monsieur. Tasty. I’ll be back! Friendly staff. Covid vax card required to eat inside. No cash excepted.

You have good service and your food is tasty and delicious wonderful wonderfullll

I came here to get a mug replacement for my sister. My sister knows Paul bakery from her time in France and my niece broke her Paul mug. To make a long story short they only had 1 new mug even I initially asked for and was rung up for 2 mugs costing me a total of approximately $35 with tax. The best the barista could do was offer me a used mug. I begrudgingly accepted the used mug even though I was charged full price. However, the clerk wrapped it up in pastry envelopes not tissue paper or boxes. On my way out I saw they had frazier cakes. Whenever, I see a Frazier cake sIice; I get it. The patisseries were unevenly cut by a lot so I asked for the biggest slice, which I pointed to and described. Of course, he did not honor my request and gave me the smallest thus I thought I was going to get it for free to make up for paying full price on a used cup. The proper patisseries prices were not in front of the correct patisseries. When I realized I had to pay $10 for a slice of frazier cake I asked him to take it out of the box and give me the slice I asked for. In order of best frazier cakes on East Coast 1) Pâtissier Poupon (Baltimore and DC) 5/5, Paul Bakery 4/5 (DC), Lauduree 3.5/5 New York. Customer Service 2/5 Food 4/5 Environment 3/5 Overall 3/5

Had a lovely breakfast at PAUL'S that included a veggie quiche with salad and a delicious mocha!! The mocha was certainly the highlight of it all. I want to go back just to have another one.

amazing Napoleon! yummy coffee. no gluten free goodies for my wife. i felt so guilty i almost couldn't eat my Napoleon. shame on you, paul.

Love, love, love this place. Is it a little pricey? Yes. But this is DC and the quality is fantastic!! Seriously…best almond croissant I’ve ever had. The sandwiches rival what I ate when I lived in Germany and the coffee is very good. There’s also seating available both inside and outside. I would go here every day if I could! It’s probably for the best that I don’t live nearby but I wish I did!
