This review is not sponsored in any way.Rick Ross needs their recipe for lemon pepper wings immediately because Wing Stop could never , the wings were so good the flavor combo was crazy and it was a wet sauce not a dry rub which I loved. You could really taste the authentic flavors in the wings .The strawberry henny lemonade was the star of the night .The turkey wings the mac and cheese I got extra just for the ride back home.If y’all ever need a fast tester please do not hesitate to reach out to me.The price point was great , the music made it a very fun atmosphere. I know this is where the party at on Friday and Saturday nights. That second floor is where the party get jumping !
For my Wife Birthday she wanted Shrimp & Grits We were told to try Oohhs & AAhhs by some locals. Had a little drama Ubered to the U street location and upon arrival were told it is the carry out location after being dropped off; had to Uber to Georgia Avenue for a sit down dinner. Our hostess was very nice and our orders came out rather quickly. The food was very good and our drinks were good especially after I was on tilt about being ubered to the wrong location at first. Shrimp & Grits were outstanding and there was another couple from out of town we met in the restaurant who were staying at a hotel across the street from us coincidentally and they were also told to come to this spot. We shared our Uber back to the hotel and both couples agreed the food and the ride were well worth it.
If you are looking for a taste of some good, down home, southern style soul food...this is the place to go! My family and I went for Sunday brunch and were completely blown away by our experience. Everything was so tasty. The turkey wings were AMAZING! ? Full of flavor and fall-off-the-bone tender. I completed my dish with collard greens and the best Mac and Cheese that I may have ever had. I also wanted to try the fried catfish, so I added a filet to my order. It did not disappoint! The fish was a hearty size and cooked perfectly with a seasoned crust. I really didn't want my meal to end. I washed it down with the Soulful Strawberry Margarita, which was made with the perfect amount of everything. The overall experience was wonderful. We feasted, shared a few laughs, and sang along to every song played through the speakers (R&B). We will definitely be back!
Food was bomb. Everything had flavor. I forgot to take a picture of the Mac n cheese , & yams. Let’s just say A MUST TRY FOR SOME GOOD SOUL FOOD. I can’t wait to go back and try more food. The gravy was on point too. Reasonable prices for some really good food.
We ate at Oohh's and Aahh's while visiting D.C. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. The staff was friendly and attentive, too. It was a great atmosphere and we really enjoyed it. We will definitely come back when we return to D.C.
Down home soul food at its best. Chicken crisp, not greasy at all. Waffles light, crispy, slightly malty? Mac n cheese, grits, greens all great. Outdoor dining. Highly recommend this Georgia St location with free parking in Walmart garage. Can't wait to go back to U St location to see after the remodel.

Everything we had was awesome here - chicken and waffles, mac and cheese, greens and grits. Love this place!
This is black owned business. I would rate this establishment at this rate because of the food. I ordered the Blackened chicken with Collard greens and mashed potatoes and turkey gravy for my sides. My guest ordered the Fried catfish with Collard greens, mac & cheese and cornbread. Both was very delicious. I asked the bartender Stephan(?) to make a specialty cocktail with Tequila. It was so good we ordered a second one. He also came over to the table to ask me if I enjoyed the cocktail, which I loved that the staff member came over to my table.I would also like to give a compliment to our servicer Soli. She was outstanding. She was very friendly, polite and came to the table with a big warm smile every time she check to if we were alright. She provided us such great service we made sure her tip was to her liking.I like dislike the most was the staff thought they were in a club because of type of music and loudness. They walking around dancing, singing and yelling through the restaurant as if they were outside somewhere. Otherwise, the food and drinks are delicious. Soul food establishment which you need to judge for yourself. Enjoy everyone.?
