Had the worst service in my life - the food took nearly an hour (after 4 reminders to different staff members) the drinks a further 15 minutes and 2 further reminders - they also could not serve me the drinks I ordered. To top it off when I requested a chat to the manager to give some feedback he never arrived at all.
My time in DC was in part shaped by the food scene. Nando’s was one of my goto restos. Didn’t think I would be able to make it one this trip, let alone the DuPont location but the Euro embassies had an open house that fateful Saturday, and I took the opportunity to walk through Foggy and around downtown. Looks like the pandemic hit this location hard as the upstairs dining room areas were closed and was rather dimly lit. The food still tasted like Nando’s but the sauces were covered in plastic wrap, silverware was sparse and the workers seemed overwhelmed. I may hit up the Arlington location on the next visit (whenever that may be…); food still pretty good!
My very first time dining in at a Nando’s. Here’s my overall thoughts about the experience I had:Pros:I can’t remember what kind of chicken I got but whatever kind it was, it was delish! It certainly was cooked to perfection. Additionally, I had a side of corn and mashed potatoes. Both of which were also good.Cons:My main issue is that the night we went, the fountain drink machine was out of half of the selections available… Hopefully this issue has been resolved already.Still overall, I give ‘‘em a good 4 out of 5.
Simply delicious. I’d recommend trying the whole menu, but if you order the chicken thighs with garlic bread and cole slaw and make a sandwich, it’s a total cheat code for one of the best sandwiches around. Also don’t sleep on the chicken livers - they are delicious but do take some time for prep. This location also has a really cool upstairs seating area!
The grilled chicken was very good. The service, however, was a mess. Followed the instructions to grab a table, ordered online, and waited for the food.However, the food never arrived. Repeated order to three different staff members. Waited another 25 minutes. Finally got food. Large number of customers were complaining about the delays. So my experience was not unique.
Our tour guide made reservations for our group of 50. The reservation did not get communicated to the staff for that evening. After about an hour wait, we were ready to eat. The chicken and sides were all good. The medium heat sauce had a good citrus flavor with a spicy kick.
Absolutely the best Chicken restaurant. Clean, tidy modern and welcoming. The best tasting chicken of any franchise. Perfect and tasty Flame grilled peri peri chicken. Nice menu. Drinks. Friendly and efficient staff. Easy ordering process. Delicious peri peri sauces available to purchase. Highly recommended You will be back for more
Chicken is excellent along with the sauces, but ordered 4 different meals with 2 coming out within 5-7 minutes and the other 2 coming out after 15 minutes. additionally, they got the side order wrong for one of the orders and duplicated the sides for another, and I had to show them the receipts for each meal to have them change out equivalent sides that they could just reuse for another order since it didn't hit the table yet.Summary, food is excellent price not too bad but management needs to get their act together on coordinating the delivery of their food, which is not a very complex operation.

Arrived here at 7pm on Jan 27th, our greeting wasn't 'Hello' it was 'we're closing at 8', this was by a waitress (didn't get her name but she had thigh length black/white braided hair). We placed our ordered a chicken sandwich with 2 sides (13.39) and a 1/2 boneless chicken with two sides (15.39). After 30minutes of waiting, my chicken sandwich arrived at the table, after another 5 minutes of waiting, the waitress came to the table and told my partner that there was a delay on his order and that because they were closing in 25minutes, all they could offer was a 1/4 chicken (with bones).No refund was offered which I expected given they were delivering a cheaper meal in place of the higher price one I had paid for.Thoroughly disappointed by this experience, I'd advise other to stay away.
