Laziness is never an excuse when it comes to being a good restaurant. We just drove 15 miles to have lunch here. On Google it says Momiji is open til 10pm on Mondays. So we actually wasted 30 miles of gas to see a hand-written sign,"closed on Mondays". Like I said, Laziness is never an option.. it's very simple to log in to Google and change your hours. It takes a minute. We're done.
Best Hibachi I have ever had ...and I've eaten some good Hibachi in my days. But you absolutely have to try this place. They're fast also.
I absolutely love the dinner hibachi with steak, chicken and the 2 shrimp. Comes with salad and soup. The lady who takes the orders is OUTSTANDING!!!
Ordered 6 rolls they arrived a mess. The avocado was rotten. The tempura was only half the normal size and worst of all the tuna roll had gone bad and made us sick. Will NEVER eat here again. First and last time.
We had ordered in person and was told to wait 10 minutes. I had asked after 15 minutes what was going on with our order and they hadn't even sent it to the back to be made so we had to waitt another 10 minutes. All we got was an apology and no compensation for the time wasted due to their mistake. A very off-putting experience for me and won't be back again.On the bright side, the food was good.
One of my favorite DC restaurants. Hope they return to dine in, but I guess they're killing it with take out only. If you're looking for a crisp mixed drink, try the Cucumber Collins!
I ordered the valentine roll and it was kne of the best sushi rolls I've ever had! The spicy mayo was delicious, and beautifully plated. Not from DC, but if I ever do come back, I will definitely be visiting again!!
Love the food. Always fresh and tasteful. Some of the best sushi I've had in DC.
As far as sushi goes, the prices are fairly good, and the quality and taste is also good…I just wish they would have more Japanese craft beers! This place is nice, though, so try it if you like sushi and or sake!
We ordered take out as dining in is still not an option due to COVID. We ordered some sushi rolls and chicken teriyaki (wish more veggies were included) but quality was good and service even better. The staff was super friendly and was very speedy, only had to wait 10 minutes on a weeknight for dinner. We really liked the Mickey roll.
