I highly recommend the bison burger
The lunch here was mediocre at best. First, there was not a very big selection. I ordered a cheeseburger and steak fries. The steak fries were very good. The burger was dried out, burnt, and on a roll that was way to big for it. They only had canned soda, both fountain soda machines had an “out of order” sign on it.We also got the fry bread which I thought was good.
Really interesting selection of native American foods from various regions, much of which you won't find elsewhere in DC. I hear the selection is a little limited now since the pandemic.
1. The food is amazing.2. The cost is comparable to restaurants in the city itself.3. The museum is free, yet incredible. Eating here helps to patronize the museum if you cannot afford an appreciable donation.
Wow the selection and variety is amazing here! Hard to choose but if you are into vegetarian food this place does it right! Second time I have been here and each time the food was excellent. Will be back again for sure.
We stopped here while visiting the Mall. There was a great mix of foods, some of which were very creative. Loved all the types of bean dishes.
Had an “Indian taco” (I’ve always just called them Navajo tacos so I thought that was interesting). It was good, especially enjoyed the squash on it since that’s not something I’ve had on one before. The prices, however, seemed unreasonable. If I’m paying more than $15 for a hunk of fried dough topped with chili and a small assortment of common veggies, I’m going to expect it to blow my mind. It was good, but my brain remains intact and I wouldn’t pay for the experience again. I’ll just stick to making my own.
Overprice mediocre food court. I had a high expectation before coming here for lunch and I heard a lot of good things about it. I ordered a baked salmon fillet for $24 and it is no something incredibly delicious that makes you want to come back again. I give two stars for the environment.
Green chile chicken posole is bangin’
I've eaten at numerous museum cafes and I've never had food as good of food at them as this one had. They have several options that sounded good. My husband and I ultimately chose a rabbit dish with potatoes. It was amazing - perfect flavoring. The potatoes didn't even need any ketchup on them. The lesser rating is due to the price - it's located in a museum, so I naturally expected it to be expensive.
