Eating at Maydan is a culinary journey. It is a journey into middle eastern cuisine that makes you satisfied when you leave.I highly recommend getting the Tawle, which is a 4 course meal and gives you a huge variety of food. You start off with things “From the Kitchen” which is a variety of pickled veggies, honey dates, herb plate, and cauliflower Tabboulet. In addition a variety of spreads including Hummus, Muhamarra, and Walnut Casik. These were an amazing introduction and each complimented each other very well.Next was “From the Fire” which included a beef and chicken kabob, halloumi, and seasonally roasted veggies (asparagus in this case). Wrapping these in the warm bread that was provided was so good. Finally the center plate - which we got lamb shoulder was phenomenal. It was fall off the bone and the meat melts in your mouth. It was a huge portion which we weren’t able to finish so had to take it back home for lunch the next day. When we thought that was the end of the meal, we got a surprise course of dessert. It was a nice cake and a great moose. It wasn’t that sweet so it balanced the end of the meal perfectly.Highly recommend visiting this place and the service was impeccable. The Michelin Star is for sure deserved. Be sure to make reservations right as they open as it gets booked out very fast!
Awesome Dining experience. Service was top notch and professional. The ambiance of the restaurant is an upbeat Mediterranean restaurant where the food experience is so lively. I’m not a lamb fan; however, their lamb and beef kabobs were outstanding. Recommend making reservations in advance..
INCREDIBLE!! I wish I could give 10 stars!! We went for my husband's Birthday and it exceeded our expectations!! We went all out and had everything! It was worth every cent!! Wonderful dining experience!
Interesting high end restaurant for Arabic/Mediterranean cuisine but nothing that justifies the Michelin level prices.I tried Omani shrimp and lamb kebab. Both were excellent dishes. The lamb kebab was perfectly cooked and very tender unlike chewy lamb in other places. The shrimp had a very smoky flavor.Their bread was fresh and had a very unique taste. I loved it.The restaurant has the dishes of Arabic cuisine but not the grandness. Their dishes are small plates but the price is similar to large plates of other similar themed restaurants.Overall, It’s a wonderful restaurant with excellent dishes but the price is definitely not justified. They don’t use rare ingredients like caviar, truffle etc. like other Michelin restaurants.
What a experience! Maydan is everything I heard it was and even more! I went with a good friend of mine who's niece happens to work there and we felt like queens in there! Everyone was so warm & welcoming. We were very fortunate to have a table right by the open kitchen and everything smelled wonderful, but even more the food lived up to the hype! From the various spreads to the open fire roasted meats to the Center Plate & a surprised Baked Sweet Potato topped with Brown Butter. It was all next level! We will definitely be back again and working on our team from work having a holiday party at this venue. Just a wonderful experience all around.
Every dish is made with such perfection! You can play, combine flavors and share with friends and family as it's plenty. My only recommendation is go easy on the bread it's delicious but if you can stuff yourself really easily just with that ? !!!
Looking for another restaurant, we accidentally stop at their door asking for directions ? I asked what kind of food they served, and we decided to stay. We had no idea it was a popular place. The service, atmosphere, and food were 10/10. ⭐️
Totally overpriced , food does not justify or warrant such a high price. Also they snuck in an 8% service charge separate from a recommended tip.
Incredible and diverse tastes. From the condiments (we ordered a few to start then had to order the full spectrum) to the lamb to the halloumi, I was very impressed with the quality and the service. We reserved day of and were seated outside. Initially we could only reserve prix fixe but they let us change to la carte menu once we arrived.
After what was indeed a delicious meal two members of our party came down with vomiting and diarrhea several hours later (two others had minor GI symptoms). We contacted the restaurant by email but received no response. For the safety of future customers their food preparation and handling need to be reviewed.
