Ask for T when you come here. He took care of my husband and kids for my husband’s birthday. This joint has pizza and “everything else”. The Chimichanga steak was amazing. T recommended the strawberry rose margarita, which was also lovely. My kids enjoyed the freshly squeezed lemonade. Would definitely recommend.
We needed to have dinner after touring the museums and waiting for our nighttime sightseeing tour. A storm was coming so we didn't want to go far and I found this on Tripadvisor and we couldn't have been more happier!! The fired calamari was delicious, as was the chicken alfredo, ribeye steak, mambo chicken sandwich the iced tea. Our server Marissa was great! Very nice and had a great sense of humor! Great price point too!
I enjoy how the staff made me feel so welcome. Hector is like the best waiter ever and Moe was an amazing bartender. I will come back the blackened salmon was delicious

A pleasant surprise, located just North of the National Archives. My wife had a chicken sandwich and I had six jumbo (and I mean JUMBO) shrimp. Both were delicious and most importantly the prices were very reasonable.
I took some of my mentees at work to matchbox. Their happy hour menu is solid and reasonably priced. You tried a whole bunch of different foods but I only took a couple pictures. They are top 10 Black owned restaurants located in the DMV area. The service was awesome and the energy was peaceful. Highly recommend.
Easy walk from the mall and definitely not going to break the bank.
Food was good. Staff was very good.
The appetizers and entrees were good but the service on the other hand was very mediocre. The waitress seemed very inexperienced. She took our drink and appetizer order . My wife wanted a pina colada . When the waitress came back 20 min later with the drink she hands my wife a strawberry margarita and tells her this all we had instead of asking what my wife would want to replace it . 15 mins later the appetizers come out without any plates which were never brought out . Instead of taking our main course order then she walks off and comes back 10 min later to take the main course order. Instead of writing our order down she tried to memorize the orders for 4 people which we thought was odd . As expected she came back 10 min later to ask us to repeat the order . When the food came back out in 20 min later it was of course missing an item which was my wife french fries . She also never asked if we would like refills on our drinks so we just drank the water . She brought the fries out at the end of the meal but by then we were ready for the check . Also was still charged for the fries brought out at the end of the meal . Food was decent but service terrible.
Our waiter was very nice and tried to be attentive, but he was simply too busy. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed. The restaurant was crowded and, while we had reservations for 6:30 and arrived on time, we needed to wait for a table. Our food and drinks were fine, but nothing special and the noise of the diners & the loud music made it hard to converse. We were a party of six and there were very few tables that could accommodate that number of diners.
