Sandwich Shop Italian

Family owned sub shop serving up great bites for your weekday lunch. Strongly suggest the GMAN sub - available of soft or hard roll.Great service, usually quick, and consistently amazing sandwiches.

A DC staple! Try the G man and enjoy interacting with the extremely pleasant folks behind the counter. These are great, classic Italian-American sandwiches at great prices. As someone from New Jersey, Mangialardo's makes me feel at home. Also some good news that efforts are being made to build better bike and bus corridors down Pennsylvania Ave SE to make places like Mangialardo's more accessible.

Hands down the G-man is the best sub your mouth will ever taste!! Been going there for years and will never stop. I live 60 miles away but work in DC and in two years when I retire I will still make the trip to get my G-man!! I love the fact that it's family owned and has been since it opened in the 60's by people who are actually Italian and not someone trying to fake it. These folks are authentic and it shows. Thank you Mangialardo's for your years of service and amazing food.

Small Italian Deli near capitol hill. It looks like a simple sub but the taste is way above that.Offers take out and you can call ahead and order.I ordered the Big G (recommended) and couldn’t resist not taking a bite in my car.

Takeout only. No seats

Sandwiches here are to die for!! Great quality meats and bread. Prices are just right too. There is normally always a line but it goes quick. Family owned and operated and always super friendly. Carryout only. If you see line out the door don’t be discouraged it’s well worth the wait

Started coming here in 1977 and it is as good as ever. The G-Man is as good as any Italian sub in NYC. Their bread is the best in town.

Pretty good Restaurant. Solid if you get the turkey, Big G, or the roast beef sub. Like the size bag of chips they use as well. Would definitely go to them again when I'm in the mood for a sub.Heads up tho, their toppings they keep separate so make sure you add them in the app to each sandwich you get.

I have been patronizing this business for decades. I visited yesterday (12/16/2021) I was the last walk-in Customer. Drove quite away to satisfy my craving. Knowing I would probably not make it in time because they close at 3PM. I chanced it anyway. Bad idea. My order was completely incorrect. I could have dealt with the order mistake however there was something that was just inedible on my sub. I also, did not like the fact the man at the cashier turned around a Senior couple who walked to the door 45 seconds after me. The husband explained that him and his wife had caught the bus there and they come there all the time and wanted to purchase two sandwiches. They was willing to pay extra for it too. Being the owner he should have let them in. YES, he should have. They are older people who do not know anything about an online order and the fact that they too patronage the business and caught the bus - that should have been a "No Brainer". Saying all this to say watch the businesses your spending your money with. Just like I would never visit again I hope the same for that couple. I started to take my sandwich back today 12/17/2021 to retrieve a full refund in the amount of $11.88, but said it's OK.Side Note: I have been asking them for years why they don't have condiments available on the side EX: Mayo? They make to much revenue not to listen to customers feedback. I am sure the clear cups/tops will not hurt their inventory.

The best Italian subs in capital Hill, nay, DC! Customer service is ALWAYS courteous, concise and easy breezy. If your looking for a quick lunchtime grab that does not disappoint, try these good folks!?
