Great sushi, nice atmosphere, lot of options. Have been waiting for them to reopen post pandemic.
This place got a nice set of choice. My favorite is the Korean bibimbop corner. The owner is super friendly. The cafe itself got a very nice view. Expect a large crowd during the lunch time.
A hidden gem open to the public. Lots of variety and a nice view outside
Lovely place, lovely polite people, good memories, thank you

It was packed, but the cafeteria style serving stations and the checkout lines got us through quickly. Check out the salad bar--it is fresh and replenished quickly.
There are a lot of cafeterias in the Capitol complex, this is the best one. I'm a Hill staffer and I will happily take the time to walk across the Capitol complex to eat here when I get the time. If you are a book lover, this would be a perfect place on a slow afternoon to grab a book and plant yourself along the entire wall of floor to ceiling windows and enjoy the view with a cup of coffee and a treat.
I was not expecting a government cafeteria to actually be a place I'd choose to go but sometimes it's good to be wrong. Madison cafe has a rotating selection of good that is always fresh and gives you lots of options to suit whatever mood you're in at a gair price. Also boasts a nice view of the city.
They offer an array of cuisines and opportunities to buy sandwiches and such. The food is just fine--what do you expect in a big cafeteria? I ate everything and did not get sick! I was very surprised by the fact that they did not seem to be selling rolls or bread (other than sandwiches) or cornbread. There are great views over SE Washington.
Food is always good, breakfast or lunch, for employees and visitors...can't go wrong with the wide variety that awaits you.
