Lovely atmosphere! The music is good, bartenders are friendly, nice mix of club-like dance floor upstairs, seated area on the middle floor, and a bar/performance area downstairs. It has it all. Also pretty funky decor all over.

Worst service we've ever had..We were a group of 4 and came for dinner and to perform at the open mic.We were completely ignored when we came into the bar, even though it was quiet. At some point we just sat down and when the waitress finally came we asked for cocktails.She threw (literally) a crumpled stained cocktail menu on the table that looked as if it was taken out of the trash. She later explained they don't serve cocktails anymore which maybe explains..?We felt pretty invisible during dinner, it took a long time to order food/drinks and our plates weren't cleared away. We made a pile ourselves of the dishes and napkins ,and when dessert came the pile was cleared away, but the waitress took off the used napkins and put them back on the table for us to reuse.We ordered 2 desserts and got 1, but decided to let it go and just ask for the bill. We tried to get the attention of the waitress but failed. After 20 minutes we walked around to find her and asked her to pay. She looked at us and then ignored us and walked away. it felt very disrespectful. We considered leaving cash on the table and just leaving (risking the cash to be taken by someone else in a now crowded bar). The kitchen porter then came by to clear the rest of our table and we asked him for the bill as a final attempt. He was very friendly and helped us.The waitress then told us the price to pay but we asked for a receipt. She seemed very annoyed and finally arranged a receipt. It took us in total at least one hour and a lot of effort to pay!At this point we did not feel welcome and just went home without playing at the open mic.
Loved the live music, bartender was so friendly! Amazing vibes - so glad we stopped in here. One of my favorite stops while visiting DC

I really wanted to try this place and menu sounded good, but waited over 15 minutes or more for someone to take my order and never did! I asked the bartender if someone was going to wait on my table and I could not hear what his response was, he just mumbled something. I was being as patient as possible and understand places are short staffed. There was a big table of around 10 people upstairs and I was by myself downstairs, I guess that explains it. The bartender was more interested staring at his phone than making sure his customers were taken care of. I was going to order a large order and I do tip good, but sorry, you just lost a customer and me recommending a place if you ignore solo diners like that.
