My first impression of the restaurant was not good. Upon arriving to pick up a meal order I had placed, the manager on duty did not want to listen to my issue with the amount charged and appeared to be helpless in resolving the issue.After emailing his supervisor, Karl Hemmer, I knew I had found a person with customer service skills. Apparently they had an issue with their website in updating their menu prices. In my mind, however, I had felt they should honor what was published. Karl agreed; and not only gave me the afore published price for the half rack of ribs, but also gave me a 20 percent discount for my having to make another trip to the restaurant.The ribs most certainly did appease my palate as well as being large enough to accommodate me with two meals. The coleslaw seemed to have been freshly made, and the barbecue sauce on the ribs was delicious. I highly recommend this to any fellow rib lovers, and I now recommend the customer service afforded at this restaurant as well.
This place is a DC gem. We stop by for food and drinks, weekly. Great place to hangout. Macintyre’s is a classic neighborhood pub. Karl and his team are just genuinely nice people and take an interest in getting to know their customers. We consider them friends. The entire staff is awesome, but we love hanging at the bar with Liz and Ben. The food is good, the drinks are good and the service is great. Highly recommend!!
5/5 stars because of the overall experience. We were a table of 4 who all ordered drinks and entrees and everything we ordered came out exactly the way we requested. The drinks were on point, the food was hot and fresh, and our waitress was kind, had a smile, and fast. Someone ordered the ribs at our table and they said it was some of the best ribs they ever had, the meat was falling off the bones! The rest of us ordered burgers/sandwiches and ate everything it was that good. I rarely write reviews but this place was worth writing for!
Carl, the owner is a great guy. Antonio and Ben, the bartenders are great. The food and drinks are good. It is a great local spot we love to hang out at to eat, drink and catch up on sporting events on the TV's.
Great neighborhood bar, perfect for watching sports and enjoying a brew or five. Terrific staff. Beer selection is first-rate. I've always been happy with the food, and I'm pretty fussy.
MacIntyre's is well located near the zoo, right across from the metro station. The atmosphere is inviting to all kinds of folks with some chill music, food you can always count on being done well, and a good selection of pub foods and drinks. I recommend splitting the warm Bavarian pretzels and a rack of ribs with a friend!
Came here for a quick lunch. Great grilled chicken sandwich. Excellent flavor. The bacon complimented it well. The brioche bun was perfection. Got the side salad with vinegrette. Cleaned the plate. Excellent sandwich.
Only went in for a couple beers. Friendly staff. Food smelled great. Nice location near the zoo and Beach Dr.

The service was phenomenal! I swear I blinked before our server appeared with water and menus. The man delivered my ice cold beer before I was even done reading the menu. He did it so swiftly I didn't even see him. My beer just magically was there. The food was so good I cleared my entire plate!Even though it was busy the wait wasn't long for anything, from seating to getting the check. I absolutely will go back next time I'm in the area.
