Let me first start off by saying that I am "thee" food critic for the DMV. I stumbled across this place after Getting my nails done and decided to stop in to see what they were about. Upon entry into the restaurant I was immediately greeted by the warmest hello and welcome ever. The menu was short and brief but very optional. I decided to try the salmon and shrimp special they had. Despite how busy they were, I was told that it won't be too long for my food but it had to be cooked to order. I didn't mind. I left to get my kids and came back. Everyone greeted me again upon entry. Their spirits were so welcoming. Very friendly staff. I loved "Cee". I got home and omg everything was delicious. Well seasoned but not salty at all. If I could give 10 stars I would especially for the customer service they offered. Will be visiting again sooner than later
Sorry, photos the next visit. Cuz there will be more visits. Visited the food truck today and enjoyed tender, flavorful jerk chicken wings. Rice that was paired well with the wings and really decent mac & cheese.Can't wait to visit the location for more goodies. Also really nice customer service!! Support Local business!!
I finally went to this place. Service is great. The food was good. Only problem their food isn't hot. Stopped in b4 work. They don't have their food on burners. Cold food
Customer service was great!! The food didn't measure up to the advertisement. The ribs weren't tender nor flavorful. I could've passed on the mac n cheese. The collard greens were OK, that was the only thing I completed. Heads up, there's an additional charge if you use a credit card.
Delicious!! You can see even from theor preparation style that the place is legit. The ribs are kinda smoky, the mac and cheese is mega cheesy, the collards have a Caribbean twist but I can't pinpoint what that seaaoning is. (Shame on me since I'm Caribbean myself). Both employees that I spoke with were very hospitable, but be careful of the lady..... She's a Geminiiiii!!! ? ??
Me and my boyfriend came in today and got the pick 2. I got the ribs and mac and cheese, cornbread, and peach cobbler! C was so hospitable and explained the entire menu upon arrival. The ribs were DELISH, the flavor is smoky and delicious, I would’ve liked a tad more bbq sauce but honestly whatever rub they use is so good I’d eat them bare. The mac and cheese was CHEESY and very rich, I couldn’t finish it all. The cornbread wasn’t my favorite but that’s no big deal, I’m more of a center piece gal and got an end piece lol oh well. I saved the best for last, THE PEACH COBBLER. Omg I would die for that cobbler! No exaggeration, it’s that good. Best thing I’ve eaten in the DMV this far. If you don’t go to LuvPlates for anything else, make sure you pick up the cobbler (but I def recommend you try other things :) oh and the food was ready in like five minutes! Can’t beat it.

Great sevice and great food, what more can you ask for?... I'm visiting from NY, was in need of soul food and I picked the right spot. I ordered the Salmon on Jasmine rice with a side of Mac and Cheese and the flavor from each was A1.Highly Recommended

BOMB FOOD! Everything is good! The jerk wings are so tender and delicious. The pan seared salmon with onions and peppers on top is very tasty and the greens are out of this world.
