Good company! Attentive staff and positive vibes!!
A dive bar.....but a good dive bar...ask for a "strong island" from Jamie....it will have you breathing funny .....great eclectic neosoul rap by Jamie also...don't come in looking like mary poppins...I'm doing it now because I can't help it....and im getting the side eye.. But I feel safe ...the wings are blackened like I like them....and everybody keeps ordering them in spite of the burgers being 1/2 priced for happy hour and when they bring the burgers out the amazing aroma of well doneness.....it turns you into that wolf from the cartoons...I can't wait to carve into mine...im definitely coming back to try the wings.. During happy hour where the WHOLE BAR is $2 off....
Asked for a drunk bartender told me no then charged me 24 for 1 drink…
Found this little hole in the wall because the first Bar I went to had me ready to leave D.C all together. Music was good ,vibe was crazy and drinks was everything hidden gem in the DMV #JayandKiraapprove
Very chill environment with great service!
Literally trash af would never recommend
One of my favorites in the city, and one of the few places where you can truly drink, enjoy, and not break your pockets (even paying for two). The staff is friendly and full of culture, and the patrons are respectful, cheerful and really connect with the staff, and the crowd.Don't forget to check out the downstairs + patio.
Except for the Doorman, this visit was a customer service fail. I walked in an hour before last call wanting to change my attitude about DC in terms of late night life (I lived in NYC for many years and have not given DC a chance to be its own thing vs a constant comparison to NYC).The vibe from the guests is so fun! The music is lit. The Doorman friendly...the bartender GARBAGE. Seen this basic b*** vibe before. The second he clocked that I wasn't a customer interested in knocking back shots and taking pictures with him for my IG feed, he stopped serving me. I had one glass of wine and was never able to get that second one--oh, wait! Not quite true: the bartender came over to me, poured a red wine, then said "oh, you wanted white," then drank the glass of red in my face in one glug, and then put my check down to get the eff out. He then proceeded to stagger around, clearly wasted. WOWWWWW. I will say, that bartender does match NYC in terms of jadedness. LOL.I'll try happy hour next time. 5:00 pm is probably that bartender's wake-up time anyway, so I can avoid him. Shame. I really felt welcomed by the music and that Doorman.
Great food, pleasant atmosphere !
if live music was available, like everyday, I would be one happy camper! awesome neighborhood bar.
