We have been coming to Letena for about a year now and it is me and My family's favorite place to eat. Good quality food, nice sized portions and always professional, friendly service. We love the vegi platter, kategna, and lintel sambussa. 10/10 would recommend.

I was starving today and decided to have a late lunch at Letena ‘s Eithiopian Restaurant in Columbia Heights it was absolutely delicious. I had the Kay Siga Wot (which is basically beef sautéed in a flavorful berbere sauce with side orders of tomato salad , and cabbage. Awesome lunch ,awesome music and ambiance and excellent service .

Olay come on. We all on the same side, right? This is the only Ethiopian Restaurant that the city D.C. can be proud of. I only dine by delivery and packaging was elegant and more sustainable.

Best Ethiopian in DC. I write this having made the rounds. Fresh. Flavorful. Well seasoned. Plentiful. My advice: start with the broccoli & avocado salad & lentil samosas.Finish with the veggie sampler with a side of beef stew. Collard greens and mushrooms are the standout in my opinion.Great vibe. Good beer options. Super friendly staff.Have opinions; Will share

Great spot for date night or dinner with friends. First time trying Ethiopian and this place was great. Very friendly service

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food. Taste and presentation were great! Service was patient and friendly, but a little slow. Definitely worth a visit.

THE BEST! I love Ethiopian food and make a point of finding a new restaurant when we are in DC because my hometown does not have it. I can say this was my absolute favorite ever. We had the veggie and meat sampler plate for two and an order of the Beef tibs. WOW to taste, Wow to value.

Delicious food, beautiful dish presentation, cute atmosphere, friendly staff, decent prices. Total win! (One point of feedback is that they plated the delicious cubed meat tibs in the middle of the veggies which was fine for us but for some vegetarians I could see them being off put by this so I recommend asking for the meat to be plated separately if you have a strict vegetarian.)

Since there was two of us, we ordered a meat sampler for 2. A mistake in retrospect. Has 5 non vegetarian dishes and 2 vegetarian. The non veg ones are curries and start tasting like each other after a while. Lots of items missing from the menu. Definitely a filling meal but I am not sure I will return a second time. My companion who had never eaten Ethiopian in her life, found it great.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could!! Can’t wait to go back.
