I had dinner and some beers earlier on a Saturday evening. The bartender was friendly and attentive. He was working hard alone at the bar and the outdoor seating. The beer selection for a neighborhood place was great. The fried chicken sandwich and fries I had with my beers were more than filling. A lot of the places north of the convention center are unique, venture out if you're staying nearby for this kind of place. I would go again if I'm back in DC.
After Dacha Beer Garden closed for the night me and some friends stopped by for a couple drinks. Good selection of drink, cool and personable bartenders. I've yet to try any food yet but, I'll update my review during a future visit. Jake's has only been open a few months now, but you should go the check them out. Oh yeah, and they offer Miller High Life!
Chill spot to watch games or hang for a night. People are easy to talk to & there’s usually a great group vibe for sports.
Good drinks and atmosphere. Great place to wind down and enjoy the game with good company. The Veggie Burger and fries I tried was pretty good too!
Came here for a queer black women in dc meet up. We brought the vibe. The drinks were decent. I only took one pic...of Oprah pasted on a jar of okra.
Chill, unpretentious neighborhood bar & grill in Shaw, just steps away from the madness that is Dacha. Friendly staff, solid bar food (esp. the burgers and fries), and ample TVs for watching your favorite sports team. Great place to go out for drinks with friends or your SO.
Great Atmosphere with a authentic tavern feel and amazing staff. Outdoor area was the most fun I've had in roughly 24 months!
Slid by for happy hour after work. Great friendly service, good value during the HH. Some delicious thick cut fries. Also came for the CFB champ game; great atmosphere. Everything you want from a local bar.
Cool dive bar
The food was really good! Had the fried chicken sandwich and the fries were good. The atmosphere is alright with friends and there’s sports games to watch. The bartender wasn’t super nice and expressive which was a slight damper. The backyard patio is pretty small and almost cramped but seems alright with a solid group.
