The ambiance of this place is what sets it apart, I feel like I'm transported to another part of the world. Came here for dinner with a large group and tried a variety of different dishes. Food overall was just okay, nothing special, I thought it would be more flavorful with exotic spices but that wasn't the case. The hummus was quite bland, scallops were way too heavily salted and the lamb was very tender but it lacked flavor. Brussel sprouts were amazing!!Service was average. It's a still a nice spot, right by the water. Worth a try
Had dinner here and the food was fantastic. You need to order hummus, it was so creamy and smooth topped with pine nuts….we’re still thinking about the hummus! We wanted to try the mixed grill but we came late so our waiter, Charles recommended the chicken instead and he was right, it was juicy and flavorful. We had the chicken with restaurant’s signature rice and not to forget, fig sauce was so mouthwatering! The restaurant and Charles complimentary us with baklava for the celebration which was also very good! Our waiter, Charles was so friendly, thank you Charles again for making mothers day very special and memorable for us!
Definitely have to go back for the meat platter. I went with the fish. It was alright but my mistake was not going for the actual meat. The venue is nice. Great views, great location to walk around before or after your meal. The service was fantastic, had zero issues, our waiter was great. All the sides were really good. Definitely stop in for a unique blend of flavors.
This is by far the best restaurant in DC! I go out to eat a LOT so claiming this is huge. The aesthetics/ design is so beautiful. I felt like I was transported to a garden but indoors! The customer service was perfect! Our server gave us great suggestions and was always checking in.The food was to die for! From the meats, to the salads and even the puffy bread they serve…perfect ?? ?Drinks were also perfect! One thing though…I wish they did something for my boyfriends birthday. Maybe they forgot but that would have made it even more special.I can’t wait to go back!
My son made the recommendation to have Sunday Brunch here. I will keep this review short and sweet. This place has great food and service and is a find. I would recommend this place highly for their great food. I had the eggs Benedict and it was finger licking good. I don’t really have anything negative to report here. Happy eating.
If only I could give them 10 stars. Took my out of town friends for their first Lebanese food experience. Our server Israel was super attentive and super knowledgeable. He explained and shared his knowledge about food and wine with us through out our meal. His positive energy and personality was cherry on top. Also Dris (sorry if I misspelled his name) Super attentive and was so helpful throughout the night. We really appreciated the service and can’t wait to come back to sit in their sections again.
Lovely place at the Wharf for brunch. Imaginative dishes for brunch and tasty teas. Love the warm breads that arrive when you're seated. The surroundings with the doves and rather embroidered seat backs are like a step into a garden. Highly recommend!
Great experience! The location and ambiance was wonderful and I enjoyed all of the dishes ordered. The carrots and the eggplant dish definitely had a wow factor. The hummus, beets, meatballs, and Brussel sprouts were very good but tasted more common given the price, keeping my rating at 4 instead of 5 stars. The overall experience was great and I would dine here again.
Chi-ching! Be prepared to spend a ton of money. The food is delicious. Hands down the best Lebanese food in the dmv area. The decor is also gorgeous. A couple issues make is a 4-star restaurant instead of 5. Number 1 is that the service is slow and our server often forgot to bring plates we ordered. Second issue is that we couldn't tell who was our server vs who was busing tables, and that made it hard to order from the right person. And lastly is that the restaurant was really cold. I'm not one who easily gets cold, but the place was not properly heated at all.
There is absolutely no doubt why Ilili is one of THE most trendy, trending & talked about restaurants on the D.C resturant scene currently!!Such beautiful, whimsical decor… And with a food and drinks menu to match. The Lebanese & Mediterranean restaurant’s mezze style dining, was perfect for out table of three. We got to sample some really delicious dishes, and everything was distinctive & gratifying!! Please make sure to try the Tabbouleh!! Everything we tried was amazing… But the Tabbouleh was the showstopper for me!Other amazing dishes/highlights I would urge you to try are:- Baba Ghannouj (eggplant, tahini, olive oil, pomegranate)- Labne (strained yogurt, police oil, fresh mint, zaatar)- Charred Octopus (ajo blanco, batata harra, roasted red pepper)- Brussel Sprouts (grapes, fig jam, walnuts, mint yogurt)
