The restaurant is a staple of the neighborhood. I have stoped here a few years ago and again this week. The bbq is ON POINT in so many ways. I’m going to make it a point to get here more often. Depends on which road you are on, it can be a challenge to get into the parking lot- from the hotel side it is the most convenient. This is a DD&D candidate for sure. 5-stars
We got 2 large chicken and ribs platters and 1 wild combo. The ribs where very good and tasted fresh. The chicken wings where completely dry as to if they where left over from the day before. Potato salad and red beans with rice was good. Collards where lacking seasoning. Mac and cheese is nothing special. Bbq sauce is a A+ for me. That's what keeps me going back.
I visited the location last Tuesday for lunch as I have for over 15 years. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food this time. The ribs were over cooked and extremely dry and honestly tasted old. The cornbread tasted burned.I called the restaurant on Friday and expressed my concern and disappointment in my food to the cashier. I was told I should had cane back on that day. I explained that I ate my lunch once I reached home over an away and could not just drive back. I was not offered a replacement meal or discount on my next visit.After over 15 years of patronizing this place along with many of my co workers daily, I feel like I deserved better customer service and a better resolution. Unfortunately I won’t be returning and will recommend to all of my over 150 co workers do the same.Very disappointed.
Generally excellent ribs and chicken. Sometimes at the end of the day the ribs can be dry, if cooked much earlier. Best priced ribs in DC.
I didn't like the food it was nasty and it was cold. Had no flavor it was very bland the Mac and cheese was not cheesy and fries had no seasoning. Even the pie was cold and pale looking
Yall I got this food for breakfast. Never even put the mild sauce on the wings. Just ate them plain, and they were amazing. Greens were super tender and seasoned right. If I was going to nit pick only complaint that I could sat is that the greens didn't have meat in them. Would recommend for sure. There isn't seating inside so it is Togo. But I got all of this and a drink for $13
Still one of my favorites. I make sure to grab some wings every time I’m in town.
The BBQ chicken wings platter is delicious. The potatoes salad and greens goes great with the wings. I highly recommend this place only for the BBQ wings cooked in a smoked grill.
We had the sampler and the large, rib dinner, with Mac n' Cheese & Greens!! Had to add some seasoning to the Mac n' cheese, but everything was DELICIOUS & TENDER!!!
