First time checking this place out and it will definitely be one of my top choices when I am in town. Tried multiple different items and they were all excellent. I love that the Vodka sauce is actually spicy and not a sugar bomb. The staff is super friendly and do not sleep on the ice cream. Even 30 min after I picked it up everything was great.
We were so excited to try their Black walnut tacos and Grandpa slice. I enjoyed the taco filling, had good flavor, however the pizza slice was much saltier and wasn’t all that great.

Lovely experience. The restraunt provided chill and classy vibes with excellent service from our waiter Georgi. Food was spectacular with plenty of vegan and non vegan options.
I’ve give less, but I can’t. We dined here a while back and for the price we paid we should have went elsewhere. Food was mediocre and our Server was no where to be found and when we asked what happened, they mentioned that they thought we wanted to be left alone...during a tasting menu?! What a cop out. Should have gone back to The Inn at Little Washington or Pineapples and Pearls!
Take advantage of the Happy Gyro pop-up to get street food from a Michelin star restaurant. Grab friends and buy everything. The standout sides: fig and beet salad, baked ziti, olive oil gelato with chocolate cookie crumbs. The wraps/sandwiches were also great, my favorites were the Reuben and lamb.
Not only is that 32 dollar pizza is worth every cent, Happy Gyro is the only incarnation of any of DC's michelin star restaurants that provides the same excellence in carry out form. Hospitality and flavor. Truly the best we have in town right now, absolutely anyone who can indulge in these pies and pints must.
