Amazing food! The portions are big, great value for money. Having lived in Greece myself, I can tell that Kostas is the only chef that I know in the area who can provide high quality authentic Greek food.
Authentic food and atmosphere, great service and classic style. I love this place and the people and the spanakopita is worth a special trip.
Best gyro I've had in DC, or anywhere for that matter. As someone who usually hates feta, I'm perfectly fine with it here because it's much fresher. The best time to come is when it's colder outside because the avgolemono (chicken and lemon soup) is one of the highlights of the menu.
Such a wonderful place!! The owner clearly cares for his customers, and the food is absolutely delicious! I had the avgolemono soup which was so tasty, and the owner gave me extra bread. The bread was clearly homemade, and fresh—it was so fluffy and warm. I definitely plan to be back after this great experience!

One of my favorite places on EARTH. I love the avgolemono soup the mostest. For sandwiches, the lamb souvlaki and cold tuna pita are awesome. I often also get the greek combo (and, as others have said, anything from the steam table is great!). Meatloaf special is terrific if you can catch it. Prices may seem steep, but consider the leftovers and it's GREAT value. Since the pandemic, I don't get to go as often, and I love supporting Mr. Kostas and the crew. Greek Deli is on Doordash and Caviar, and I highly recommend a delivery to treat yo'self.
I’m so excited to finally have found a gyro comparable to those I had in Greece! Everything about the gyro is perfect…the meat was grilled just enough, the pita was soft and warm, the Tzatziki was thick and flavorful. The biggest surprise was how delicious the chicken with lemon soup was. It is served with a large slice of fresh bread. Entering the establishment was very typical of Greece too, which makes me happy! Will definitely be back here…often!
Probably the best value lunch in the area, well worth waiting in the line which is always out the door but always moves quickly. The food is high quality, and the portions are great. There’s a reason it has been around so long.
