Really wish we picked up more of the red velvet cupcakes. They were the best I've had in a long time

My experience with this company was awful. I ordered online to be delivered to another city. I never received a shipping confirmation, the order was delivered a day late, and the cupcakes were smashed. The recipient said it looked like the box had been kicked down the street. Furthermore, the customer service was non-existent. The phone number is never answered and none of my emails were answered.

I flew from Houston, Texas to Maryland for the Georgetown Cupcakes on M Street to pick up a dozen of shark week cupcakes and a dozen other cupcakes. This was to celebrate shark week with my parents. When I got there they handed me my cupcakes and I left. I am so glad I checked them in the car! When I opened the boxes up and looked at them I noticed the Shark Week Cupcakes did not have the fondant fins or the EKG on them. I went back to the store to show them this wasn't correct. The employee at the store went and talked to somebody who said that the machine that makes the fondant for that was broken!!!! I really would have appreciated it if they would have told me that ahead of time because it was really a disappointment (I was crying). This was 7 months in the making!!! They let me walk out of the store with 80 dollars worth of cupcakes. Eventually I got my refund back on my credit card, but I really think it showed a lack of quality control not to have at least given me a heads up that they weren't able to deliver the product that I thought I bought, not to mention the disappointment. I drove an hour and a half to pick them up and maybe I would have been able to reschedule it for a day where the machine was working. I had scheduled a whole shark week party and celebration with those cupcakes, and I was just really disappointed that no one even gave me a heads up that there was anything wrong with them. It makes me wonder about other kids or other people who were really looking forward to the cupcakes. Second of all, if you look at the picture you'll see what a mess they were when they handed them to me. The cupcakes were not even in the box appropriately. They were askew!!!!! To me, it seemed like it was really poor quality control. I have been coming to DC cupcakes for at least 10 years, and this is not the same store that it used to be!!!

Don’t get your hopes up with their online orders. Don’t waste your money, time, or energy.I ordered online and, despite the fact that they have a NYC location, received my cupcake order from their DC location (which apparently was the only option for me since I was outside of their NYC delivery area) and was SO sorely disappointed with what I received that I had to collect myself before reaching out to customer support which, now over 3 days later, has yet to see any form of response whatsoever. There is no way of tracking your order, and the app doesn’t even connect your account if it’s made online first - so I now have two accounts, both of which I can’t seem to delete. There is no organized post-purchase process whatsoever, if there is one at all. I had to be the one to email their general email address two and a half hours after I had submitted my order (and had my card charged - immediately) just to make sure that I received an emailed receipt.Because they don’t distribute tracking info, and I didn’t want to risk missing the delivery window, I waited all day to receive my order, so it’s not as if these were sitting in the sun for an extended period of time. These photos, this is how they came. You could imagine my disappointment when I opened the box to see mangled frosting through the lid. Whatever hope I had to fix them was gone the second I opened the lid (second photo included here). What was meant to be a surprise for my partner’s birthday became a surprise for me as well - and in the worst way.Would you pay over $60 for this?

These cupcakes are absolutely delicious, not too overpowering sweet, they are simply just right. My fav would be the Butterscotch Waffle Cone Cheesecake!

So I Stood In Line For About 30 Minutes!! I had seen and heard about this place through Their TV Show that My Hygienist Keeps it on Everyday!! ordered 4 Cupcakes There Is Absolutely NOTHING SPECIAL about These Cupcakes They Were Dry As Hell Really Don't Have a Taste The Frosting Is Whipped Buttercream Consistency Yeah That's all I got.. So Disappointed Thought These Were Gonna be so Magical and Moist But All I Got Was Tasteless and Dry... Hell Gigi's Cupcakes are Way Better Than These!! Ughh

I had high expectations for this local well known bakery. The $180.00 cupcake order that we ordered to give out to clients arrived with two out of three boxes looking like this picture I have attached. We have called and emailed many times. My sales coordinator did get a response one time and they said they would replace the order. It never arrived! They never answer their phones even at the store locations. I also tried reaching out to an owner through LinkedIn, and still NOTHING! We would have been placing orders weekly. I am under the impression they don't need new customers. What a disappointing experience.

Ordered cupcakes for delivery that didn’t show up. Called Georgetown location several times and no one answered the phone. House full of guests and no birthday cupcakes for little guys party. We marched down there and confronted the manager, Liz. Received many apologies and got home, opened the box she gave us to discover baby shower cupcakes. How bad can it get? The delivery lady finally showed up at our home 2 hours later with a rotten attitude with the right cupcakes, half melted . After years of loyalty, not going back. Let’s see if they actually follow through with refunding us. Haven’t heard a peep via email either.

We were recommended this place by many as we were visiting DC. We waited in the line for 10 minutes to get in. The frosting of the cupcakes was great but the cupcake texture pretty average. $20 for half dozen cupcakes felt expensive. No need to try their beverages if it’s your thing. There are far better beverage places.Food4/5Ambience 5/5Service 5/5

Georgetown Cupcake was fantastic. Our bus broke down outside (we think it was destiny!!) of their shop and they handled 33 of us like pros. I highly recommend the coffee toffee and my son loved the Dad Chocolate. We both washed them down with a big glass of Whole Milk. We love whole milk and were thrilled they had that as an option.
