I ordered a Portobello sandwich, Quesadilla, Mediterranean pizza 2 days ago.The 1st bite of each was heavenly. An influx of awesome flavors. Simply delicious to the last bite. I wish there was more. My husband and I simply loved it.. Will come back when I visit DC again.Yum
Excellent plant based stuff - healthy, yummy & freshly prepared. It was such joy to walk into a plant inspired cafe. Can’t quite recall the name of my wrap but it had quinoa & chickpeas. It was very well stuffed & yummy too. A bit on the expensive side though.
Cute little café/breakfast and lunch spot perfect for visiting vegans. My friend and I stopped by for a lunch after traveling in from NYC.I ordered the (small) harvest chili which was a huge portion. There were so many veggies, so much protein and nutrients, that I was full from that bowl alone. The flavor was savory and well spiced without being overpowered by tomatoes. My friend ordered the (large) southwest salad which she ate 1/2 of because of the huge portion. Also packed with nutrients and flavor. She also ordered a matcha latte which she didn't love, but I did, because it had a predominately oat milk taste.Plus she ordered the Tuscan kale wrap which neither of us ate then as we were too full. I however, ate it the next day and loved all the textures from the fresh veggies combined with the softness of the wrap.5 stars because of the customer service; the food tasted good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. However if you are used to eating fried take out/fast food this is not the place for you.
Had the banana almond toast – a little dry, but very tasty! I would love to come back here
We were walking around City Center and came across Fruitive on Palmer Alley and decided to give it a try. It's a small but cozy place and offers a number of healthy plant based and vegan foods. I ordered antioxidant superberry bowl which came with fresh delicious blueberries, bananas, strawberries, and chia seeds. I also ordered a Strawberry Mango overnight oats to-go. I had it the next morning for breakfast and it was super delicious and filling.
Overpriced. Tiny portions. Weirdest latte I have ever had in my life. The avocado toast was good, but nearly $13 for it was not worth it at all. The latte was cold and had dates in it. What is that about? Plus, the professionalism of the staff could be much better. I don't live in DC, but if I did, I would not return to Fruitive.
Service was quite slow and not much options for seating inside. Food was ok (chose the overnight oats), but nothing special and was overpriced in my opinion.
The space is small but that wasn't a big deal. Went in with my two young boys to have a mommy son breakfast date.. we got the chocolate, banana waffles, strawberry mango overnight oats and peaches and greens smooth. My big boy told me he liked the waffles but he clearly didn't he just wanted the toppings. I couldn't make it past the second bite of mine. He said he didn't like his smoothie it was a bit bitter but mine was fine. The oats were so unflavored and raw they were so so plain and they give you 1/4 of a condiment container of I belive maple syrup but eh. The staff was very kind and I truly didn't want to be difficult I did get a refund for my waffles but kept everything else. A waste of a morning trip and money for over 50 bucks worth of waffles oats and smoothies. I cook every day of the week and I think I'll continue to do so or just go to vegan places I know have good food.
Great healthy food. A little bit pricey but totally worth it when you need real nutrients.
Customer service is Great they have a lot of options for vegetarians Drinks avocado toast and acai bowls are great even kids Enjoyed it.
