We enjoy this restaurant, but don’t come often. Friendly greeter. Crowded and noisy—authentic. Lots of people speaking French. Crusty bread and butter was delicious. Wine was ice cold. Very good service. My wife had delicious onion soup and salmon tartare. I had very good endive salad and curry mussels (frites could have been crispier, but still very good). We had excellent profiteroles for dessert (some more chocolate sauce would have put it over the top). Probably the 2nd best French bistro that we go to—Le Diplomate is #1—but this is much closer and easier to get a reservation.
Perfect Christmas Day lunch! Steamy, warm French Bread and a nice pat of butter were set on our table very promptly, and our water glasses were never empty. I got the Flemish Beef Stew, with Brussel Sprouts, and the server recommended an excellent IPA to go with it - absolutely delicious! The beef was so tender and stew flavored perfectly! My friend got the steak frites which were done to perfection and a glass of wine. The fries were amazing! Cozy ambience. Service was exactly what you hope for- attentive but not intruding. I look forward to going back again soon!
We had dinner at Et Voila because the restaurant of our choice was booked solid. Nobody seemed to care when we entered the restaurant. We were looking around for the host and we finally got noticed by someone at the bar. I didn't feel like we were treated like guests, it was more like they were doing us a favor by offering us a table. Fortunately the waiter didn't have the same attitude and we ended up enjoying our visit. We had snails for appetizer (first time I ever tried snails). They had three kinds of mussels on the menu and we ordered all of them. We were hoping that we could share, so that all of us would have a taste of each kind. The mussels tasted exactly the same, I believe the meals were different because of the sauce. It took a while to dig in the mountain of mussels to reach the sauce, so we ended up not sharing for sanitary reasons. We ended by sharing desert (one profiterole and one Alex cake). Overall it was a pleasant experience that gave me the chance to catch up with old friends.
Staff are super nice and accommodating. The food was very good.
Great food and service. The French martini is awesome!
fantastic food - great atmosphere -
Amazing food and great service!
We have been here many times with family and friends. Had not been back for several years. Place has expanded. Covid precautions make a difference too. Still. I had endive salad and mussels. Salad was chopped. It tasted OK but lacked style. Mussels were overcooked. Wife had sole muenniere. Overcooked too.
We had the pleasure of take out for restaurant week from this locally run dining gem. Every part of the meal was a fantastic experience and the fact that it was take out did not impair the quality of each course. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful restaurant,
Great brunch menu! For me, The French Onion soup was hearty with a delicious cheese crust. The omelette with mushrooms was fluffy and a great portion that you could sink your teeth into and came with fries and a salad. Finished off with a foamy cappuccino and was sated.
