Be careful. They are one of the places that will silently add a 20% gratuity automatically, without you asking.Then, after you tip 20% when they have you finish your tab electrically, you notice that you have now paid 40% in tip, because of a silent automatic tip.I'm down to tip people, but to silently force me to tip, I don't think so.
Electric Cool-Aid is an outdoor lot turned into a drinking area. The ground is gravel and they have picnic tables. Everything is order by phone so if you have questions or need to make a modification to your food, you're out of luck. Their cocktail menu is mostly really sugary frozen drinks. I personally don't care for that sort of thing. They also have a selection of canned beers. They do have heaters/tents in the Winter, but generally you're subject to whatever the weather is that day. Was here once and never went back. Just not my vibe.
Favorite drinks in DC so far! Everything we ordered was delicious, place is nicely laid out (beer garden style) and has a youthful vibe. So if you want a nice night out and good drinks, this is definitely a must.

Very cool outdoor bar with long picnic and some height tables. You order and pay from the table with your phone and drinks are delivered. Goid frozen drinks! Bathrooms were port-a-potties that had pump water, so not bad, but they could have used a light.
Frozen drinks galore, including for the sober and sober curious! The space itself is funky and cool that luckily is completely covered by umbrellas to avoid baking in the DC summer sun. Their food menu rotates with various guest vendors - when I went, I got a delicious veg hot dog with some of the most delicious fries I have ever had. The employees here are super friendly and quick. My only issue was that we couldn't bring our bicycles inside despite there being lots of space against the edge of the table to store them without getting in other people's way.
This place is really a no-frills beer garden. The table areas are totally covered, so it’s possible to hang out there on a really sunny day or rainy day without any problems. The service is extremely quick and very friendly. They sanitize & wipe down all tables in between parties.Drinks: ice cold beers and frozen cocktails that taste like slurpees.Food: typical bar snacks including burgers, hot dogs, and fries. I had a Jersey dog and it was just OK — the toppings were fresh and delicious, but the dog itself tasted odd. The bun could’ve also been a tad softer.The real winner though: the French fries. They are TO DIE FOR. Not sure what they do to the fries, but they taste incredible. Next time I will just get a few orders of fries and pig out!
