Don’t get confused with their nice TikTok advertising… We’ll never come back to this place!! I’ll hire the TikTok people who does their advertising, We came here because of that. The experience was totally different, the soup was horrible, my Mojo de Ajo Shrimp didn’t have no garlic flavor it all, my the nachos were old.
Service was fast and the food was good. We had a group of 6 and all of the dishes were tasty. This restaurant is within walking distance from the Hilton hotel so it was a quick place to eat.
Favorite spot in DC for pupusas! I tried their vegan menu for DC Veg Restaurant Week and was surprised at the creative options for vegans! I had vegan pupusas with cashew cheese, Palm of hearts ceviche and jackfruit empanadas, I hope they keep these on their everyday menu soon! The staff was also very nice and welcoming, it was my first time going in vs ordering out thru delivery and loved their space, it's beautiful!
We had Mother's day brunch during DC Vegetarian week and IN LOVE with the food and drinks. Outdoor sitting in their parking lot with the heaters on was a bonus. From Vegetarian to chicken dish everything was perfect! Look forward to dining soon.
We needed some late night food on Sunday and we almost lost all hope until we found El Tamarindo! I ate their cod fish soft tacos that were equally beautiful and delicious!
I've been here a few times before and had a great experience with the service and food. This time unfortunately I did not enjoy the service or our waitress. Our drinks and food took a long time to get to us. My partner had got steak tacos for $17.50, the tacos barely had any meat ! My pupusas tasted pretty good :)I really had high expectations for this beautiful restaurant but everything just seem low quality now.
Best pupusas I’ve ever had and still are. I frequented El Tamarindo probably the most out of any other restaurant while living in DC. Amazing pupusas and a very nice setting.
Pupusas were great but the fajita that I ordered was not. I ordered the Tex fajita which bring shrimp, chicken and beef. When I got my fajita, it only brought 2 pieces of steak, 2 shrimps and 2 pieces of chicken. For $19.50, I would expect more or at least a fresh plate. The food seemed to be microwaved and had sauce thrown all over it to make it seem fresh.
A taste of my childhood in every bite ❤. Food is divine, really made with love and care. The staff goes above and beyond to satisfy appetite! Very clean facilities, this place felt like home. Thank you for being open when I needed hot food, coffee and a friendly face! Highly recommended to anyone. Vegans, see-food eaters! You can't go wrong. Stop in for coffee too.
Delicious, authentic food. We came here on National Margarita Day because of their specials - only $2.22 for margaritas. The quality of both the drinks and foods (I ordered four tacos) was very high. Definitely would return. Service was very nice. Very reasonably priced!
