Amazing drinks and surprisingly good food.The grilled cheese was really good. The mix of cheeses and the fig jam were a perfect combo.Also the drinks were good and liquor forward which I love. The wait staff were kind and even suggested some great off the menu drinksGoing down the steps to find this place also gives it a speakeasy vibe which makes it even better

Wanted to stop into a bar after a night tour of DC before heading back to our Airbnb.Happened upon Denson Liquor Bar - mightily glad we did! What a great little hidden gem! Friendly, personable staff, great drinks and service. Awesome cozy ambiance. Highly recommend
The cocktails are spot on here and reasonably priced for the area. Cool aesthetic, felt like a a hot spot bar you'd find in NYC. I didn't try and food though
Was visiting DC and wanted somewhere for after dinner drinks on a Friday night. Found this place. A little hidden but worth the walk down. Cool atmosphere, nice vibe and mix of people. The bartenders were great. They both make a mean old fashioned! True mixologists.
Unfortunately, the prices and the way everyone acts here does not match the quality of food and drinks. I'd come here for the swanky dark atmosphere, order a drink or two, then move on for food and other drinks.
It definitely passes the vibe check.The decor and dark wooden accents coupled with the dim lighting and rows of glistening bottles of liquor are just ??The foods they offer are perfect for a quick bite and a drink. No complaints about their vast drink selection, and I've only tried their grilled cheese and caviar bites which were great. It's simple but flavorful. I did see they offer a few small desserts that I can't wait to try next time.
Excellent service and the place has a really cool vibe! My fiancé and I were here on a Saturday evening for her birthday and they treated us to a complimentary champagne, very nice touch. We’ll definitely be back and recommend our friends visit here
Great date night spot. Dim lit, speakeasy vibe. Lovely charcuterie plates and killer cocktails. Very swanky ambiance and decor. Definitely recommend.
No idea where to start...from the old school basement entry, to the dark but classy vibes, this is a must when in DC. Great knowledge and finesse of their craft. Find your way to this experiential gem!
