Great Restaurant!! This is a BBQ place with food that was super good. You order at the counter and sit to wait for you food to be brought to you. They have a full service bar as well. They have a heated tent to add to more indoor settings when cold (it looked like it would open up for nicer weather). The staff were professional and friendly!! Overall great!!
Best food we have had on our trip to DC...might be some of the best BBQ I have had. Been to Carolina, to Kansas City, to Santa Maria CA... the smoked rib tips were to die for. Kids had the pulled pork sandwiches (super yum). I recommend the fried Brussels sprouts, the grits, and the Mac n Jack cheese. Well worth the drive to this lovely local neighborhood gem!
Some of the best BBQ I've ever had, and I've had a bunch. Definitely the best rib tips in recent memory. Would definitely return. (Fed a family of four, including two teenage boys, with a couple of beers for under $100. Even took home leftovers).
Welp, The person that brought me here thought because I'm a foodie they had to take me to the BEST. Welp I love every bit of it. We had Brisket- Excellent, Wings-Da Bomb, Ribs GOOD Lordt my stomach was getting full. OH THE GREENS, Smackalicious. The Collard green spicy and sweet at first catches you off guard, however you want to eat more. The Vitality Flavor Lemonade and Vitality water is great. My STOMACH LOVED & DIGESTED every bit effortlessly.I don't know the guy cashier or the guy bartender name on that Thursday 4/7/22 night (however the hospitality was AMAZING...
Was in DC for the first time while the kids were on spring break. Decided to try this place out the first night because it was within walking distance from where we were staying. From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed. We decided to try some ribs, wings, & brisket along with a specialty smoked old fashioned cocktail they offer. Everything was 5 stars with food, service, vibe, music, value, etc. We decided to go back 2 days later for some wings, brisket chili and more cocktails. Everything was consistent with the first night even though staff was different. This place is a breath of fresh air from anything that is part of a chain or owner/management that is not hands on. It was obvious that everyone working there was part of a good thing and are into it. I've had some pretty good brisket in my time, and this place has to be in the top 5 if not #1. If I ever come back to DC I will be coming back here for sure.
Went for a quick bite and loved it! Drinks are Fire ?BBQ is so tasty…we had brisket,ribs and wings and all were absolutely delicious! But MOST importantly the DRINKS! They were super tasty and will for sure be returning to enjoy more of the wide selection of drinks… true neighbor gem ?!!!Only down side is the Mac n cheese… not traditional and if you love Mac n cheese skip it - I’m not sure if it was chopped green peppers or jalapeños but hard pass !
I can't begin to describe how upset and disappointed I am with this Place..I decided that I wanted to take my girl out to get some barbecue she's been craving it and this was the so called spot to go... but I was very disappointed I bought $85 worth of food and the ribs was the most disappointing ribs I've ever had in my life. It was like I just paid for the bones, there was no meat Hardly any meat on these ribs and it was just ridiculously priced. I will never take her back and would not recommend anybody else to go to that place. If you know what meaty and good rib looks and tastes like...this is not the spot! I wish I could get my money back but unfortunately We were already going back across town. We got a slab of ribs, brisket and 3 half smoke sausages with the brisket chili... and I mean honestly it taste better than the ribs but it was nothing to really brag about. I've been going to this place since before they moved to there new location...and it's gone completely downhill...UPDATE: So yesterday as you could see above I wrote a review about my disappointment with DCity Smokehouse. Pretty much right after I left my review I was contacted through one of the owners, his name is Chris. We spoke for a moment over the phone about the situation and what went wrong, and then he told us to please come back tomorrow so the situation can get rectified... We went back today and It exceeded our expectations. I thought that I would just get there, and he would only just give us some ribs to go...but he was genuine, and cared about how we felt... so instead of just picking up and letting us leave...he invited us to sit down and eat...it was a nice experience for my family and I...we also got the opportunity to meet Darnell whom i believe is an owner, he was great...his customer service was excellent! We got an opportunity to try new things...i can say when we go back...the mac n cheese is definitely on my list...I definitely recommend all my friends and family to eat at DCity Smokehouse because these people made us feel like family, and if you happen to ever have an issue with something... you can let them know, and they will take care of you!
Today I decided to visit DCity Smokehouse for the first time today. I must say the first impression is a lasting one. You guys have surely gained a new customer. Ribs, chicken & fries were all A+ in my book. The drinks are amazing. I'll just go for those alone ! Thanks for just a great experience I will be back SOON !
Went there on a random Monday night and had great service and food! We didn’t order the wings but the owner gave us some wings on the house (since we are both from Texas). And man those wings were amazing! I will definitely order those next time.
I love some good BBQ! This is a nice low key spot, my wife and I enjoyed it. Ask Marcus to whip you up an alcoholic slushie!I had the smoked sandwich with jerk wings and collard greens, smh fire! The house BBQ sauce is good, give this spot a try people.
