Chinese Cantonese Dim Sum

I went yesterday with my bf and had a bad experience with the food. The staff is friendly but the food was not good and the price is a little bit expensive. I had never been here before but my friend recommended so I decided to give it a try. The food was not warm at all, just look like I ate old food. I ordered the roast duck and pork because I heard it is good but oh hell Nah, not warm and not crispy at all. Dimsum is okay. My boyfriend asked for a rice bow but the staff went for more than 30 minutes then he came back when we were almost finished with food. I feel bad when I took someone to eat at a place with a bad service like this and asked for a higher tip when I paid my bill.

The food was absolutely delicious. We were served very quickly and the staff was very kind to us as first timers at dim sum. The prices were extremely reasonable for the quality of the dishes. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. My favorite items were the chive dumplings, taro dumplings, sesame balls, and shrimp fried rice. 10/10 will recommend and will be back.

Come here for authentic dim sum! Food is served family style. All of the employees were friendly.

DC must have a better place for dim sum. They don’t serve from the traditional carts. When we arrived at noon, they'd already run out of one of their few vegetable dishes, a serious problem for my companion. The tea we ordered arrived cold--twice, even after we sent it back the first time. They falsely claimed they had already served us everything we ordered, forcing us to check the menu to show them which dish they forgot. The place wasn't even that crowded. The food was unimpressive. It did not make up for the service.

Four visits in five days?? Well, it was extraordinary circumstances, but yes. The food and service are very good. Living in Los Angeles, I would put DHP's dim sum up against anything from the San Gabriel Valley, our Mecca for dim sum. I can think of specific dishes that are done better at certain restaurants in SoCal, like Peking Duck, but the duck at DHP meets the standard for good duck. In general, the dim sum is excellent. We had a medium-sized family party, which included a vegetarian and a vegan. Everyone was more than satisfied, and asked where we got the food from. Special items of note were the crispy roast pork, the braised tofu with mixed vegetables, vegetable dumplings, sesame balls, pan-fried taro cake, deep-fried taro gok, pork and shrimp siu mai, king prawn har gao, baked char siu buns, the bean curd wrapped dumplings with meat, and the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf. When we explained our situation, the manager was very helpful in helping us to select items that would appeal to vegetarian/vegans as well as omnivores. Our last visit was to pick up lunch and food for our trip back to Los Angeles. It's great to have a go-to place for good Chinese food in DC, where we'll be visiting on a regular basis. The place can be really crowded on weekends, and parking is street only, which can be a hassle.

The food was great and delivered fast.

Great menu selection and very high food quality for everything we ordered. We have one vegan, one vegetarian and one gluten free person in our party and they catered excellently for all three of these dietary needs. For vegans, we had the vegetable spring rolls which were clearly homemade and delicious, we also had the vegetable fried rice with no egg and the tofu/beancurd with mixed vegetables which I highly recommend to anyone. For gluten free, the waiter understood their needs fully and was able to advise on which dishes could be adapted. They did the same tofu dish as mentioned above with no soy sauce to make the dish gluten free and also they offered the rice noodles dishes with any of the meats, prawns or vegetables and egg and then also the fried rice again with no soy sauce. There was plenty to eat for all members off our party and the waiters were great when we asked about modifying the dishes to suit our needs. We would recommend

The fried rice and general tso’s chicken is so good: flavorful, great texture. Good for sharing! My go-to for comfort food after a night out in town. The service is speedy. The dim sum is also delicious.

This is the place I would want to come again and again with my family and friends. Somehow I took a random picture but later becomes one of my best restaurant pics. @randomstory000 please try this crispy and savory noodle dish!

We went there for 1030 dimsum. Good food and authentic dimsum.
