Great drinks, amazing bartenders; even better VIEWS!!! They have great music for watching the sunset on a nice hot summer evening. Our new spot.
I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend for my trip to DC and we visited the rooftop bar while we were here! We loved the views and the drinks were good! He ordered a charcuterie board for us to share and it was amazing aside from the hunk of hard Parmesan they served us (it would'vemade more sense if it were Gouda or Munster)... they didn't give us any utensils originally so I had to go to the bar and ask and they only had plasticware which it was almost impossible to cut through the hard block of parmesan cheese we were served.. so that's why I took a star off. Otherwise, our experience and the ambiance was amazing!
Love the casual atmosphere! Our server was polite and attentive. The food was good. The pickled deviled eggs were esthetically pleasing and delicious. I had never had them before, and was not disappointed.
I have only had experience on the rooftop. We actually stumbled upon it one day. We walked in looking to just sit at the bar and one of the employees said why don’t you check out the rooftop and we said heck yeah! The views are great, the service is fairly fast, and the drinks were even better. - Will definitely be returning in the midst of summer.
The ambulance is great here! The drinks were good as well as the service! My issue I guess is with the management! Which is the reason I don't know why I'm even leaving a review! Looked online and website says they close at midnight. I work in the industry so I asked my wife to meet me there after work. We met at 10:15pm, the manager came around at 10:30pm to inform us it was last call. I asked the bartender upstairs and he informed me that I can still get a drink downstairs. When I got downstairs the security guard informed that we must leave. You should probably change your website to reflect that you close when you want so you don't upset more people!
We went early in the evening, around 5pm and enjoyed a drink each. Bar tender was a gentleman. Attentive but not. We went back around 11pm, got out drinks and sat in an empty booth... booth had not been cleaned. Crimson DC is a bar/lounge/restaurant.
This bar has a really good selection of whiskeys and cocktails with live music. it's a cool place to visit
When other dining establishments in the neighborhood had at least an hour wait, we stumbled upon Crimson. The seated us quickly and the service and food was wonderful! Will definitely be returning!!
The 2 stars is solely for the food. I paid $17 for the most bland fried catfish sandwich I have ever had in my life! They need to be sued for wasting my taste buds on that mess! Other than that, just come here to drink and socialize, the atmosphere is super cute but eat elsewhere ?
Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience here. The service was extremely slow. Had to wait one hour for food! I have never had such a poor experience at a restaurant, this was very unfortunate. We just sat waiting and waiting for food…It was incredibly hard to flag someone down so after waiting one hour went up to someone and asked how much longer for the food. We deduced that the order was never put in originally because the food then arrived 20 mins later. Other patrons seemed to be having similar experiences. Food not coming, other customers left because food was taking so long. They seemed short staffed but the service was not good. It was expensive for these sub-par burgers. I’ve heard the rooftop bar is nice, so I’ll hold out for that.
