I have learned, to treat people as I want to be treated. I went to churches chicken on Minnesota avenue, yesterday and got food that I had to return, before I brought the food back I thought, I should take pictures of the product. I did and will share. Please don't eat here. You won't be treated with respect, and the food is terrible, as is customer service.

I remember in the 80's church's use to good I don't know if they change the recipe of the chicken but it's the worst no seasoning deafinaly not how I remember it growing up the dirty rice taste like someone just poured Salt on it and was mushing okra wa good banana pudding was nothing but poured sugar awful all I can say is they qont get another dime out of me. They might want to change cooks asap.

This location never fails me. Chicken & biscuits always hot & fresh. There's always the 3piece special for $3.79. Family specials are pretty expensive but much better than Popeye's or KFC.

Chicken and biscuits are delicious. Fries tasted old, freezer burned and nasty. Have to order a biscuit separately if you don’t get a combo which is a negative.

First time I've had Church's Chicken in 30 years. It was delicious! Mashed Potatoes were delicious as well. Cole slaw was fresh and sweet! Yummy!!!

The chicken wasn't cooked all the way and I got sick but the okra and the biscuits were good. I probably got sick cuz I don't eat like that often anymore.

I remember Church's Chicken a long time ago and the chicken still is good so don't get discouraged by where it is just think about what you're getting

I had not had Church's chivken since they left the DC area in the early 2000. I went to a location on Minnesota Avenue SE in DC. This is located next door to the Allen House Senior residence. It use to house The Domino Pizza carryout. I ordered the special which was 3.49 3 pc.spicy chicken dark meat. I thought that it would have at least come with a honey biscuit; which I gave yet to taste. It was just the 3 pcs., of chicken. I also ordered a large fried Okra side, and the new Texas cut bacon on spicy chicken sandwich. The sandwiche was actually much better than I anticipated. It was not as large as the Popeye's chicken sandwich. The flavor was way better than the dry, hard to eat McDonald's so called crispy and juicy chicken sandwich. (That's a whole other review). Back to Church's. The sandwich had a sandwich spread with pickles on it; the bun was toasted. Delicious, with my favorite bite if spiciness. The chicken was crispy and yes, juicy. I've still yet to taste a chicken sandwich that beats Popeye's. The chicken pieces in the 3.49 special was not eaten until Sunday. Thank goodness with the help of an air fryer it came out just as good as if it was eaten the same day. The chicken was crispy, juicy and yes spicy as I had anticipated. They do have the original non-spicy version (classic) chicken sandwich and parts. I just happen to love spicy. The Okra was delicious. Being a southern girl from Tennessee I love fried okra. The side for a large was 4.99. All in all it was a good day with Church's.

They are ripping folks off monetarily and in quality of chicken. Chicken is over fried with thick batter causing pieces to appear larger. I asked about two piece special $1.99 leg thigh…with side it’s $5. dark meat wasn’t ready so I asked is white meat ready…she gave me two piece $6.05 I went back in stating you forgot my rice side. She said it didn’t come with it!!!

Church's is too gosh-derned expensive! WAAAY too expensive! There are too few options to spend less than $10 and the prices for chicken only without any extra sides is downright offensive. Fried chicken has lost its value as an affordable way to eat. Everywhere!
