This restaurant is very disappointing. The service is mediocre, the food is not worth the money charged, (salt infused steaks, tasteless salads) the drinks are literally terrible and the dim and dark surroundings lacks any ambiance at all. The steaks are thin. They are half the quality of what you would receive at a high quality steakhouse. Extremely expensive and no quality. There are many other places to spend your money.
Wanted to enjoy this so much but everything we ordered was undercooked. The Brussel sprouts were hard. Every steak we ordered was rare when we ordered mediums. The server was very nice. The place looks nice as well.
Worth every cent. The steak, the brews, and the ambiance! Had the 18oz BONE-IN RIBEYE black angus, steak butter.
I'm quite taken aback by the other previous reviews. First visit here, we are very very picky with where we choose to dine. Decor caught our attention tion. atmosphere held us in place and we went for it. Miles was our attending waiter, and my goodness not even in NY where we frequent have I had such an attentive and professional service. In years - his poise, tone, timing was just superb, Jenna the bartender Assisted him and us 2×, another positive and joyful encounter. The food was hitting our palette to pure perfection, very pleased with the decision to try their local beer as well. This is OUR personal experience, I hope that when we return to DC we can capture that moment again....thank you District ChopHouse.
Went here for a birthday celebration. It served about 20 people at one time. Service was as good as it could be serving a number like this. The cornbread skillet was delicious. Everyone reaved about the lamb. I got the burger which was filling. I would return to try this place again.
Great food and pretty good service. Great atmosphere.Wife found a piece of glass in her chicken parm sandwich. Manager on duty didn’t seem too concerned. Probably won’t be back.
This place has horrible service which is doubly shocking for an expensive restaurant. We ordered appetizers which were ok and probably the best part of the meal. We also ordered wine, but it didn't come until well after our appetizers were delivered and our server never followed up to see if we wanted more. Two people in our party ordered brussels sprouts with their dinner and not only were they not brought out, but the waitress didn't bother coming by the table to make sure everything was brought out. We had to find her and flag her down. They were eventually delivered after everyone had almost finished eating. They totally neglected to refill our water glasses after we got our appetizers until we had to flag our waitress down again to get her attention. One person ordered crab cakes which were tasteless and mostly filler and tasted like they were left in the freezer too long. When it came time to pay, I put two gift cards in with the bill and our waitress totally ignored them and tried to put the full bill on my credit card and when i brought it to her attention said, oh, those were gift cards?

I used to love going to the Chop House when I worked near by. We went for dinner before going to Fords theater. The waiter was really great, but the food was terrible. I had a steak salad that I couldn’t eat. My husband had the French onion soup that was extra salty. What happened to the place we used to love?
Very nice place with very nice and classic vintage decor, as well as nice food and a few nice house-made beers, but the hamburger was much too expensive in my opinion. Otherwise, all else was great!
