Overly salted dish Chocolon was not a good taste. Drink menu was great. Hamachi ceviche/crudo was great
Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere as usual. Love it here!!!
Service was not that great - plates piling up on table; asked the food runner to take a plate and it was like I asked for an organ transplant - not cool. Like where were we supposed to put the finished plates? On the floor under the table? Waiter was nonexistent- took our order then disappeared- so frustrating to get more drinks. I used to love CC and this was my first time back since the pandemic shut everything down. Very disappointed.
Thank you to Alan and his team for a great meal and attentive service!
It took about 20 minutes to get drinks, but once we brought that to the attention of the manager, he corrected the situation and was attentive throughout the dinner. Hot pot fried rice seemed to have a ton of five spice in it- almost unbearable. But the rest of the food was AMAZING, including causa, ceviche, and lomo saltada (which I never liked before even when visiting Peru).
The food and service was amazing. The options were plenty and the manager stopped by to check on us.
China Chilcano's observance of Peru Liberty Day tempted us to make the trip downtown and we were very pleased with our meal which included a sashimi dish dressed in sauces to resemble the Peruvian flag which was one of the specials of the day. Our server was warm, friendly and helpful both to us and to the young woman he was training that evening. We had a great time and will certainly include China Chilcano in our plans for trips to DC for plays or just for fun.
Celebrated my partnerâs birthday and both got the chefâs tasting menu. Every single thing we got was delicious, best dining experience in a long time.
We sat outdoors in the sidewalk/street seating by because our indoor table was not ready. The noise level indoors was quite high, so we were happy to be outdoors. All the staff were extremely professional and welcoming. We enjoyed a variety of small plates of ceviches, sashimi, noodles, and dumplings. The cilantro dumplings were a surprise hit.
Service was great, the people there are so kind and attentive.
