What's not to like about Chef Geoff? The staff is personable and always happy to accommodate a variation or special request. The food is good and the menu offers something for everyone. The value can't be beat. And there isn't a better outdoor patio -- shade trees, umbrellas, not in the street! -- in all of DC!

Had yet another great meal at CG's last night. We arrived atv530pm and were promptly seated. Menus included the normal dinner and the Tuesday specials. My work buddy went for wine with fish tacos while I went for the Tuesday special of the supermarket blue moon with CJ burger and potato fries. We both loved our meal. I love that CG's always cook my burger as I like it. Well done!! No shaming that you don't want pink!! Server was lovely, wasn't too packed at the time we ate but outdoor deck was full as we were leaving so a great time to eat. We will be back again in a few weeks as the food, staff and service never let us down. A great location whether driving, biking, scooting or walking there.
BEST patio in town!! It up and away from traffic - it is totally shaded - lovely. The might try some kind of deterrent to the aggressive sparrows!! Love the burgers - but yesterdayâs was way under cooked - and barely warm despite ordering med-well (which I do because med is usually med rare). However - excellent quality meat. Fabulous ranch dressing! Generous greens served w salad. Just a little off this time - but I will be back!
The menu needs to be updated. We like to eat there but weâre tired of the same old food choices. The white wine selections are not great either. Daily specials would be a possibility.
As a frequent diner for many years at Chef Geoff, I was very disappointed with my last meal. The Simple & Healthy steak was dry and chewy. It was also small given the $29 price tag. Poor quality and poor value.
