We want to give a big Shout Out and Thank You to Captain Cookie & the Milkman! We reached out earlier this week with a larger, somewhat complicated order for delivery (to multiple locations) that we needed to happen within about a day and half of our initial contact. They quickly responded to our initial inquiry and from then on Alexandra in Events was wonderful to work with and they were able to pull this off for us! Couldn't be happier with their ability to make this work.
Generous portions of tasty ice cream. Found the ice cream cones a bit too sweet but I guess they were crafted to the taste of their usual clients in D.C
After reading the reviews, I was super excited to try Captain Cookies and Milk’s ice cream cookie sandwich. People razed about warm cookies with premium ice cream. Our experience, however, fell short. The cookies tasted like they were a day old and the ice cream was subpar. Certainly not worth the $7.
I had been listening to the rants and raves from my friends for weeks about how great the ice cream is at this store, so I figured why not try it for myself! Their selection of ice cream is pretty good, but I wanted to try out the flavor that I had heard so much about. I ordered two scoops of the cookie dough ice cream in a cup. I almost decided on the strawberry flavor, but at the last minute, I went for the cookie dough. There wasn't a peep anywhere in sight, neither the e entire GW neighborhood, so ordering was easy and fast. The hipster behind the counter served me up with two generous scoops of the cookie dough. Son enough I was out the door, and walking toward the metro enjoying my Friday treat!

I stopped by for a late night snack but ended up picking up cookies for my family. I got an open faced ice cream sandwich(which I think is the way to go since the cookies aren’t really soft enough to bite through without swishing all the I cream out), ginger, oatmeal, double chocolate, chocolate chip, heath bar bits, and snickerdoodle. The favorites were double chocolate, ginger, and Heath. I wished the snickerdoodle had more cinnamon.
We had Captain Cookie & the Milkman for an event recently and it was a HUGE hit! I highly recommend them for your events!
The cookies are the perfect balance between crispy exterior and chewy interior. They're also a generous size. All the flavors are really tasty!
Absolutely love this place. The cookies are great, the ice cream is great, and the ice cream sandwiches are great. They also seem to participate in several food waste/food scarcity programs.Note: the cookies are kind of hard so that they don't get too soggy when covered in ice cream, this makes them feel somewhat stale on their own.
