Capo Deli is so good it should almost be illegal. I have eaten more Italian subs from Capo than I can count. Everything is fresh and tasteful - the bread is so good. Most of all, the staff are super kind and always wear a smile.
Customer service was good , but the chicken cheese sandwich was the worse. The chicken was lunch meat over cooked to where I thought is was bacon. Bread very hard. I would never purchase that again nor will I visit Capo again. My first and last time.
Best sandwich lunch in DC. No question. I order the custom with honey turkey and honey ham, lettuce, tomato, onions, hot peppers, and basil aioli. The perfect lunch. The bread is beyond crunchy and perfect. Thank you, Capo.
I love Capos. There’s nothing inherently amazing, but the food just feels like home to me. I always go with the Italian combo, and I should add meat to make it more like a spicy Italian sub, but you know what, I like it.The bread stays crunch on the outside and the inside squishy but not mushy. It’s exactly what you want in a cold cut style sandwich.The service is always happy and helpful and the customers are the same. Capos is a great choice if you’re sitting there not knowing what to order for dinner, or when you’re craving a sandwich.
The actual bar/lounge area was really fun and entertaining. The deli staff/person taking orders was a huge huge c*nt and that isn’t an exaggeration. She was rolling her eyes, dismissive, had a rude tone, and had 0/10 customer service skills. It was so bad. Still in shock.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. My husband is from New York (and I love Italian food) and there are A LOT of days when we are overworked and stressed out and we both just look at each other and say “You want Capo?” “Duh.” It really reminds me of the home cooking when we go to new York. I can’t drive right now so I use doordash to order with them and I leave them notes to tell them how much we love and appreciate them and they sent a note back! It made both of our day! We love y’all so much at capo deli! Y’all make us feel like family is close when it’s not. Much love and we are hoping to come dine in soon! MKK from doordash
Soooo I went to a another speakeasy in DC and let me tell you I had a blast. Went early so I didn't have to deal with a crowd. Got a chance to speak with the mixologist of all mixologist! You can ask for any drink and he can make it with his own twist. Definitely making this my once a month spot.
Though I haven’t tried the food here yet, I do want to come back and experience it! There is though a nice little surprise in the back of Capo Deli.. like a speakeasy. Totally different experience than I imagined, I’ve never been to one and always wanted to so this has opened my eyes to trying out varies one’s in and around the city
Wooo the capo special is a damn good sandwich! Excited to try more of their sandwiches.
Bad experience with management I found the name of Jose being part of this experience disrespectful to his employees and harassing them I’m a Hispanic male and I understand what was said in the conversation. Needs health inspections I saw cockroaches and rats running around the meat and when I asked to use the restroom it was verry dirty employees are verry well mannered but management is disgusting
