Most basic food, short staffed, out of all the things I wanted, and took a long time. Kind of disappointed that the photos didnt match up with the food.
A typical hole in the wall luncheonette grill serving the federal parts of SW. But they deep fry in addition to sandwich & bottled drinks. 2 star difficulty, 4 star execution in normal times. uncomplicated, and they do a fine job of it.not very tidy, if you care (the room, but also their workspaces with the food)Know they allow people to eat inside during the pandemic (whatayagonnado, but the dining is the same room as the kitchen), and i have observed employees casually unmasked. If that's a "no" for you, then move along.

This is a hidden gem! We stopped for a quick bite and we’re pleasantly surprised by the quality and service. We got turkey sandwiches and every ingredient was fresh. The turkey was roasted and sliced to order. Great bread selections from pumpernickel to multi grain and more. Generous portions. We highly recommend.
They definitely did ask what I wanted on my sandwich. The plac was not very busy at 12:30 pm. Pictures of a steak and cheese (spicy) and a gyro. A very good sandwich.
I paid for 2 subs and didn't like neither one. They didn't ask what i want on it in terms of tomato and onios which i hate. Only if i wanted spice which i dont like either. So the first sub wasnt spicy but disgusting cause it was loaded with onions. So I ordered another and nade sure they knew no onion or tomato, but they put the spice on it. Im out of 20 dollars, disgusted, hungry, and angry. Not going back, and i work across the street.
On a day trip to DC and wasn't interested in any of the food trucks on 14th so I stopped in this little gem off the beaten path on 12th and glad I did! Had the grilled steak and cheese and it was very good! Very fresh, good portion and quite reasonably priced! Trifecta! I would certainly go back again!
Little gem. Amazing steak sandwich and this is tough for me to say it as I am a sandwich fanatic. Super friendly staff greeting you tops off the experience. Strongly recommend!!
I found it a bit pricey, 10 for a sandwich and water. But it was delicious and super fresh, they carve the meat right in front of you. Had a lot of bread and meat options to choose from.
Convenient and good enough for quick and cheap sandwich and snacks. C'mon ppl, it's an affordable local small biz.
