Excellent food. Terrific margs ?
Delicious food .. warm friendly service. Highly recommend.
Good service and food was delicious!
We visited Catcus Cantina today, the service was very average. Unenthusiastic waitstaff, the food came out fast, hot and sizzling. However this place is not authentic mexican food. Frozen Margs are completely tasteless. I had the carne asada it was unseasoned the Saltado was salty. I only liked the chips and shrimp quesadilla. I definitely will not return or recommend.
I had lunch at Cactus Cantina after not visiting the place for many years. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and service has deteriorated rather markedly. I ordered one of the daily specials, the chicken and vegetable fajitas, and was very disappointed. The chicken was dry and tasteless and the vegetables were not well prepared or cooked. The service was just adequate. Years ago this was a wonderful place, but apparently because of its convenient location they have not thought it necessary to maintain the quality. Let me add that there are a number of very good TexMex restaurants in the Washington DC area so unless your focus is this as a convenient location there seems no reason to ear here, at least if my experience is any guide,
We have been eating at Cactus Cantina for years, but haven’t written a review in a few years, since before the pandemic. Our previous ratings have been 5. However, this time we have to rate our experience a 4. While the food is still outstanding, in our opinion, the service is slacking a bit, the portions are smaller, and much more expensive. This seems to be the case at a lot of places these days, so is not unique to Cactus Cantina. Still, it is a bit disappointing and is causing us to eat out less than we used to as the value just isn’t there anymore. Time to learn to cook more at home. But we still love our Cactus Cantina meals as everything tastes wonderful.
5 stars.Service here is amazing,The food was really good and the waiters were very respectful and friendly. It was very comfortable to eat here especially with family and friends, definitely will come again.Towards the end I actually lost my phone and a lot of staff helped me find it and they we’re VERY quick about the situation they found the phone and got the phone back to me in below 10 minutes on the same night. I don’t remember her name but the waiter that helped and served our table was incredibly nice and professional about the situation. From the red scratchy iPhone case you guys found.
had fajitas, shrimp tacos, and churros; all good. Service is excellent. Quality and service consistent (three separate visits)
This restaurant was recommended by someone who used to live in DC. It is clearly very popular with locals and it’s easy to see why. This place offers really good Tex-Mex food. My son said the fajitas were better than the enchiladas but everything was good. My wife was very happy with her margarita. The service was friendly. The place is enormous, including some outdoor seating, so I doubt reservations are necessary, despite it’s popularity.
Came to the area after visiting the Washington National Cathedral. I am from Florida and found the food and flavors to be average. Service was fine. Prices are right for the area. Lots of people and cool atmosphere.
