Food and service were outstanding. The blackened salmon and Color Purple drink were amazing!!
Waited a half hour and no waiter or waitress even approached me at all. They passed by my table several times. I returned my menus. Really, really bad form. Of course you'll ignore this because you're too full of yourselves.
Really enjoyed the food at this Busboys and Poets location. My friend and I had the shrimp and grits, the lamb burger and for dessert, chocolate cake. The food was made with fresh ingredients, seasoned well and tasted great. The wait staff were attentive and helpful. The restaurant was busy at the time we visited but we did not wait long to be seated or served. We ate indoors but there is Lots of outdoor seating as well.
I can't take credit for this delicacy. I read someone else's review. It is my new favorite thing. I get the vegetable quinoa bowl and add blackened shrimp. The way they season this thing should be a crime! I am not vegan nor vegetarian. I gravitate to this meal option more than anything else now. The eggplant is not pictured. Sometimes the kitchen doesn't season that item well and it is my least favorite part of the bowl when that occurs. Drink featured is the poet mojito.
Excellent food, poetry and fellowship!
Tried the thin mint latte and chicken chorizo hash! Big fan
I loved the concept and ambiance of this restaurant. The menu is varied and has great potential. My husband ordered the Western Omelette. It was packed with veggies and was delicious. His toast and potatoes were not hot. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. My food was barely warm. The poached eggs had runny whites. Even the service was luke warm as we had to wave our server down a couple of times for coffee refills etc.
Sunday brunch was amazing my party of 9 sat comfy and our server Trinity was 5 star she got All of our orders correct.. which was amazing. The location was great, spacious ideal for large groups. The food was great highly recommend the sweet potato pancakes
Visited on a Friday lunchtime. I had planned our day to include lunch here, having previously been to the K street branch. It was quiet and service was quick and friendly.I had the vegan 'chicken' burger which was great, I would gladly have brought home a jar of the pickles that it came with! My husband had pancakes and a side of home fries, also delicious. Portions were a good size without being too much.Lots more space than the K street branch and maybe the vibe suffered a bit for that but food and service were great.
I brought my pekingese with me and one of the workers was so kind to open the patio up and serve me outside. He recommended this vegetarian dish that was divine. It was full of variety and had so much flavor. He even shared the secret ingredients that made the sweet potatoes so delicious. The tomato soup with oyster crackers was really nice and the white chocolate latte was perfect. Not too sweet. I can't wait to go back. The menu has something for everyone ?
