Loved it on my first visit. Very relaxed atmosphere with activities to play and affordable costs. I enjoyed my time there and will most certainly return.
Such a nice place. We went here last week with my friends, and we enjoyed our time here. The food was excellent, and the employees were all helpful.
So, my wife and I had just landed in DC, moving across country to an unknown city and, upon arrival, were sad to realize that English basement apartments are not what they seem from the outside (thats what you get for renting sight unseen in DC). We were horrified, dare I say distraught, at our new dwelling (700 Sqft).As we walked around our new neighborhood in an effort to calm ourselves, we happened accross the bar accross the street. From that day until the day we left DC, Bread Soda was a haven for us to relax and unwind after a stressful day. We have fond memories of playing pool/darts with friends and gathering a team for Trivia night.Great drinks, good food and nice people. I definitely recommend them.
Our new favorite spot to hang out. It was spotless, and the staff was helpful. Food was great as well.
DON’T GO!! WORST BAR ON WISCONSIN AVE. We were there on Saturday night on 6/10/2022. Drinks were terrible. We ordered some simple cocktails, and they were horrible. The bartender was rude AF. Like he was doing us a favor giving us a drink. Bro, if you hate customer service, go get another job. Obviously, this is not the job for you. Very condescending. The security guards were just as rude. As we were leaving, it started pouring. We wanted to stay under an umbrella while we waited for our Uber. They asked us and other people (25 or less) who came out of the bar to leave and said we should go find another building to seek shelter from rain. I will never go back again. The worst customer service at every level. I had friends who had warned me about this place but I had to experience first hand to believe it. Waste of time and money. Weekends are precious. DON’T GO!!
Very rude staffs. Was there on June 10th night and bartender was super rude. Plus, the security guy would rather us stand in rain than the outdoor umbrella. And he asked us to move in the rudest way possible. Drinks were subpar and the staff was super rude, especially the security guy.Won’t return!
Congenial, efficient, reasonably-priced, zero-BS excellence. Breadsoda has been pure gold since they opened. Easily one of my favorite joints in the city.
The cocktails were delicious and the best I've had anywhere. We stayed outside except to play shuffleboard. A bit dark inside for perhaps dark deeds ? the food and drink are great and good prices.
Can there be a nicer place than the cozy bread and soda on the NW DC side. I don’t think so I love you guys phenomenal atmosphere great billiards time. My Boyfriend’s best friend came to town from Turkey the two of them had a blast playing as a team!! Nice reunion even that Melih didn’t feel the pool table that much as he though he could! ?
Cozy and comfortable retro-themed basement bar, restaurant, and billiards hall in NW DC. Had a really nice vibe for a weekday date (I went on a monday) and the food was great.Food was classic bar fare with a few surprises , but good quality and affordable prices. I got the chicken cheesesteak sandwich and for a sub-$10 option it was punching well above its weight class. My vegetarian friend was also satisfied with the options, so bonus points for that. Kitchen was open till 11pm on the monday I went, which is much later than most other places in the city.Staff were very helpful and the clientele was nice. Also they had a good drinks selection, significantly cheaper than most places in DC. I can definitely see myself returning here for a date or with friends to shoot some pool and darts
