Food & drinks are great, just be prepared to pay (a lot) for them. That said, the lamb chops were the best I've ever had. Paella was tasty as well, perfect for sharing with a group. If you have cash burning a hole in your pocket, it can be well spent here. I may be back for those lamb chops!!

I’ve got to be honest - it’s not great tapas. Service was friendly and the food came quickly but most of the food was barely warm, not hot, so I can only assume it wasn’t freshly cooked. I could taste that some of the ingredients weren’t fresh too and some of the food tasted unpleasant (the chicken croquettes tasted of garlic powder). The bread was great (warm and crispy) but the olive oil was not high quality. We didn’t try the paella which could well be fresh and tasty but the plates that we ordered (calamari, mussels, octopus, chorizo, meatballs and croquettes) were very disappointing.

Really enjoyed this place! There’s outdoor and indoor seating, and variety of options on the menu, and pretty good service. Really liked the honey and goat cheese cold tapa and the bistec a la plancha hot tapa. Wasn’t a fan of the croquetas (weird texture for me). The calamari was good. The free bread was SO good lol. And, it didn’t cost an arm and a leg! I’d go back!

They charge roughly the same prices as Jaleo, but the food is not nearly as good. It’s serviceable food but not great, and overpriced for what it is.

Ordered calamari, mussels and potatas bravas. Calamari was very chewy, mussels tasted funny and patatas weren’t crispy at all. Highlight was sangria and back patio seating.

The food was excellent. The service was good. The restaurant forgot to read the special instructions so my dessert came without the special note “happy anniversary”.

The food was good, however the service could have better. The complimentary bread arrived late with the main course. It took quite a long while to get the check at the end of the meal.

I've never eaten at a Bodega before, neither has my wife. We were trying to entertain some out of town guests and after driving around in Adams Morgan for about 30 minutes trying to find parking, we decided to come to Georgetown instead. We were so relieved to find parking at a garage nearby and then just traveling on foot to see what options we had for food after 10pm. Bodega won for us. Me nor my wife couldn’t pronounce the foods they had on the menu good despite the English text in captions on the menus, which was a nice touch but that didn't matter to us as we were hungry. My wife, and our two guests had yhe same thing which was basically mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans. I had lamb chops, a scoop of mashed potatoes with gravy and that was all that came on my plate as it looked like something a five year old would yet. I was expecting an actual meal. It was delicious but I left feeling hungry still. So glad that the Häagen-Dazs was still open as I gored on some chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Overall at the Bodega, great customer service, friendly staff, including from the managers / owners who were on hand. The atmosphere was quaint, dark and intimate. Price wise for all of us it came to $148 and that included two homemade sangrias, a martini, and a bottle of Estrella Dark for me. Never had it before and it was great. For four people in Georgetown? It's Georgetown folks and let's not forget inflation. I highly reccomend for folks that's trying to entertain out of town guests or celebrating a special occasion. In our case we were celebrating our anniversary weekend, a great panel we hosted at Awesome Con at the Convention Center, and finally being able to meet and hang out with our out of town friends. Give it shot!

Great Spanish spot I normally grab the Paella ! It’s good considering I’ve been to Spain a few times of course you can’t compare but I would recommend giving this restaurant a try you won’t be disappointed ??!! Grab the bottle of Sangria as well !
