It's very delicious, the environment is very good, and it's worth recommending. Don't miss it.
Absolutely phenomenal. This place has the best duck ever. Honestly, everything we had was amazing--from the charcuterie board to the horseradish potatoes to the chocolate peanut butter cake. A well-rounded meal. Not to mention, our waiter did an excellent job at recommending our wine selection and paired beautifully with our dishes. Just an amazing experience and will come back when we are in the city again.

Amazing culinary experience and great service. Best duck and dessert ever ! Pelin is an exceptional waitress !
I was really excited to try this restaurant given its Michelin status. We had breakfast here several days as we were staying at the hotel. Finding one's way to the hostess is a literal maze. The host staff were consistently pleasant and welcoming, however, that is where the service ended. Once seated we were waited on by folks who seemed to just tolerate their jobs, not once, but each day. No smiles, curt answers. When asked if the grapefruit juice was Ruby Red (that is often what Hyatt serves), she replied with "I don't know". I tried a little more and asked if it was bright pink. "Yeah, it's pink" was the answer. I said, "If it is Ruby Red, I would like some." When it arrived it was not Ruby Red. There was no check in to see if it was indeed what I wanted. I had to call her back over and apologized and explained that it was not the kind I wanted and asked very nicely asked if she would replace with orange juice. She did, but I felt like I was really putting her out. The next day when I ordered a croissant, the waiter asked, "plain?' I thought he meant plain as opposed to an almond croissant or such. When he brought it there was no butter or jam. The day prior, the croissant came with these normal condiments without needing to ask. It seems there would be consistency in how things are served. I wasn't looking for a friendly diner, but some smiles and warm service are always appreciated especially for a restaurant that is supposed to be top of the class! And, "I don't know, but I will find out" is always the correct answer. Generally food was good, but the pancakes and the French toast were dense and oatmeal bland. Stick with savory dishes- or better yet, save some cash and get better service by finding another place to eat.
Expensive ( for my pocket) but food was excellent, especially the dessert i had. Twice! Enjoyed a few cocktails here. Great, relaxing atmosphere, everyone friendly & attentive.
Soft lighting, great service, everything tasted good but note it is expensive, although good D.C. hotels may all charge this much. The coffee/chocolate/caramel dessert was yummy.
On your walk around the neighborhood don’t miss the culinary enjoyment. Food and service was excellent. May need a brief wait if no reservations are made in advance
Came to DC for the cherry blossoms and to celebrate our anniversary. So glad we were able to get a reservation on a Saturday night. We loved everything we ordered, the beef rib was so flavorful but tender, the striped bass is light but fresh and the texture of the fish was so soft, the side order of cauliflower has great flavor and with a crispy outside, almost greens beans blended really well with the mushroom. We also got an apple pie as dessert, the pie crust is extremely thin but flaky, the apple filling is tangy but remains a very good texture (not overly soft). We couldn't finish it so took it back to our hotel and ate it the next morning, it still tasted really good! The whole experience sitting right in front of the open kitchen was really cool, we were able to see the chef dedicatedly finishing every dish before serving it. We really enjoyed our visit at the Blue Duck Tavern and we're impressed by the quality of each dish here.
Service, value, flavor it hits all the marksThe short ribs were tender and melts in your mouth. And with a smoky flavor ? the egg ? is cooked perfectly as it gives a creamy texture to the dish. The biscuit holds up with good structure, but it’s flavor may not be as accentuated as it can be (mostly herbs) and can use a gravy.Pancakes were fluffy as expected and presentation is beautiful ?Overall a must go in DC area
