Visited two different nights. One was calm and quite. The other was during a final four game. Kansas fans packed. Both times i saw great team work from bartenders, staff and a manager. Didnt catch name but was Impressed. Smooth as can be even under pressure.
The food was delicious. The Fried Chicken Fried was one of the best Fried chickens I ever had. It was flavorful, crispy on the outside, but tender and juicy inside. The fried chicken came with green beans and potatoes which were also flavorful. Service was excellent.
We had a good experience here. Came in at a good time the place was kinda empty. Most of the food was good. I got this chicken broccoli thing that tasted good with a good sauce. The meatloaf wasn't that great. The sweet potato was good the french fries were good. The ceasar salad was good. Overall would try it again if we stumbled on by.
We enjoyed dining at Blackfinn. The food was good. Like many restaurants in today's world, they were really understaffed and hustling like mad. Kudos to our server Jessa who was taking care of many tables. She was doing a great job despite being the only server.I had a buffalo chicken sandwich, which was very tasty. My companions and I shared the pretzel and cheese appetizer (so yum) and the Brussels sprouts with bacon (also yum). They also had the burgers, which were excellent.
Service was pretty bad. We don't usually complain too much, but we sat for a while with no server. One finally came and treated us like we were a bother to him. The restaurant was soooooo warm! We were red and a bit sweaty when we left.. Food was good, but we won't be back. Service is a big part of a restaurant experience for us.
Great food and great service overall given how the business is increasing in the volume since the pandemic has started to wane. Will definitely go back as it was good company good atmosphere and good food, The bacon wrapped meat loaf was very good as was the chicken fried chicken
Was my first time ever going there and I must say I was impressed.. atmosphere was very welcoming ..staff was great ..Paul and the other lady behind the bar were super nice .and come to find out it's a die hard kansas city cheifs bar ..and I'm a die hard cheifs fan since I was 8 .. drinks were ice cold and they also serve boulevard beer made in kc ..so that was awesome! If your in Washington DC this place is great!
Walking distance from our hotel. The food was very good everything came out hot. Our server was amazing very attentive and also gave really good recommendations. When we come back to DC we will be visiting again.
Went here for lunch. The food was amazing. The waitress was brand new but she did great. Super close to the White House. We will for sure be back.
Honestly this was not our first option but we kind of rebounded into this place after our first choice was packed. Lucky us! Jessa was hustling in what seemed like an understaffed establishment (which is the norm now). We left super happy, very full and with nothing but great things to say about this place and the service. We will be back. Jessa was the star of the show and the food was excellent.
