First time trying. Delivery was quick and well packaged. Super flavorful soup great for a cold day in March!
This place is one of my favorite eateries in DC. The atmosphere is very quaint and homey and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The prices are beyond reasonable for portions you get (which are huge) and the food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the coconut curry noodle bowl with tofu, thai chicken wings, and the gyoza. Definitely will not regret a visit here.
We ordered pork Pad Thai, spring rolls, and chicken wings. The spring rolls had 6 shown in the image on Uber Eats, 5 in one of the pictures on Google, but only came with 3. Three small spring rolls for $8. They were good, but I would not have spent $8 on 3 little spring rolls. The chicken wings were also good and came 5 for $8, a more standard price for this area. The Pad Thai cost $14 (above average) and left a lot of space in the standard-sized container. It was of the poorer, too sweet quality that I’ve had at some Thai restaurants in DC. There was not that much pork in it. I’ve seen video of a Postmates delivery guy taking bits of each item and stuffing them in his bag, so I wondered if the Uber guy might’ve done the same. I called the restaurant to ask how many spring rolls and wings we were supposed to get and they said 3 and 4 respectively. So they gave us 2-3 less spring rolls than pictured and 1 extra wing, if the guy on the phone had it right.Pretty not worth it imo. Will not be back. I eat Pad Thai at a place near worth on the reg for $12-13 and it’s way better and more in quantity.
My gf told me to leave a review. Love this place
Excellent Food at very fair prices. Outdoor seating available. Much business carry out done. Try the house drinks. During our covid times, BKK takes precautions- but hope they will continue to blossom in the future.
The staff was extremely nice. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again or recommend to a friend, I loved this spot.
I really wanted to like this place, but was very disappointed. I got the SPICY BASIL RICE and it was extremely bland. The beef was dry, overcooked and flavorless. Not to mention the portion was small... I had to make food at home to fill me up. Seriously, a cheap Chinese takeout spot would have been 10x more delicious and cheaper as well. I felt scammed by BKK Cookshop and DO NOT recommend this place.NOTE: I ordered this from DoorDash, so I can't provide my input to a waiter or manager. Also, they failed to put in utensils and napkins for my order.
Great food overall it's very spicy but it's really really good love the food the whole family enjoyed everything!!
Love this place! Vegan friendly and the food is delicious! I had an amazing apple cider cocktail that blew me away as well! Cheap and satisfying! Check them out if you haven't!
The best Thai food in DC. Their Tom Yum Soup is amazing, you can really taste all of the spices, herbs and love in it. The pork shoulder is tender and falls apart. Also, when they saw something is spicy, it's spicy!
