We made early reservations and avoided the crowd that usually arrives after 7:30. As always, the food was delicious.
This is one of our favorite French restaurants in the US! The veal cheeks are to die for and every seafood dish we've had here has been wonderful. They sear a perfect foie gras too! The service is always friendly. We drive over an hour regularly to dine here.

I've enjoyed Lepic for many years but my last two visits have been disappointing. The food is way over salted. The almond and caper sauce for my soft shell crab was much too rich for the delicate crab and heavily salted.
I try to dine at Bistro Lepic at least once a month. Food is exceptional, daily specials are always creative and prepared to perfection. Yes, they make a great martini and the wine list will compliment any budget. The best escargot in DC. Service is timely but not intrusive during a meal.
The food was great. Asked for a quiet table by the window. Had a big group seated next to us that was very loud. If I had know the downstairs had plenty of tables and was much quieter I would have asked to change tables. Other than that the food was great.
Excellent food and service. The trout never disappoints. If you love soft shell crabs, a special when we went, you will love their preparation.

Making reservations is easy. People on the phone were so nice and I had to change the reservation twice. The food is wonderful and the choice is wide. So good. I have only two suggestions. 1) The waiter told us that the salad had avocado and hearts of palm, but did not mention the duck breast. It was delicious, but I would not have ordered it if I had known it had meat in it. I wanted a light salad. 2) The ice cream was $14 for two small scoops. It said $12 on the menu for mint, vanilla and sorbet. Confusing? Otherwise, it was delightful for our celebration of two grandchildren graduating from medical school and one from Georgetown College.
