More like a 4.5. We came for Sunday brunch and so glad we did. Cute atmosphere, love the decor. The outdoor seating was lovely as well but since it was so humid, we opted to sit inside.Cocktails-*lavender French 75, my new favorite brunch drink. Went down so easy and it was sooo tasty!*ange blanc-tasty!Apps-Escargots-mmm so garlickyMain entree*NY Strip with sunny side egg- beef was a little chewyDesserts-*Crème brûlée just the perfect amount to finish a meal*Challah French toast-sounds heavier than it tastes. We would definitely return. Would like to try other options on the menu. Service was friendly and helpful.
I met friends there for dinner. Charming restaurant decor. The French cuisine was just outstanding. The service was very attentive.
We came for dinner on a drizzly Saturday evening but still wanted to sit outdoors, and were able to do so comfortably thanks to the covered open seating. From the opening drinks (a very tasty cocktail-of-the-day) and appetizer (foie gras) to the main dishes (the duck and the lamb) and a shared dessert (the moelleux au chocolat), everything was delicious. The waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable. Small touches like the wonderful homemade butter that accompanies the bread service are what make Bistro Cacao a stand-out restaurant for excellent food in the DC area. Highly recommended for a romantic evening or a business dinner.
Wonderful atmosphere and food!
Friendly, intimate bistro with great service and food.
Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food, a great choice for a special occasion.

Atmosphere was nice but needs to be tidied up. Service was okay, but too informal lacking attention to detail. What gets the low rating was the food. Just not very good. Even the bread was not good.
Love the food and ambiance. Great service! I would come here once a week
New location next to the old location. Still the one of the best restaurants in the area
