NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.Worst Indian food I have ever had. Ordered 2 curries. Vegetable korma and Chicken Lababdar. Both the curries have the same gravy base. How can you give the same sause for 2 of your curries out of 4 in the menu. Also, we asked the server to make the curry a tad bit spicy since he said the curries are mild. All we got is chilly flakes in our food. I literally could not taste 1% of the food because all we could taste was chilly flakes. Had to eat ice cream after the dinner to calm down. You can see the amount of chilly flakes in the pictures. Would never go there every and will also make sure none of my friends go there. Also, the pictures are of 2 different dishes. Spot the difference.
Really nice Indian fusion food and cocktails
A delightful spot for a romantic date night from the culinary minds behind Rasika. Service is very friendly and the ambiance is low-lit and cozy.
We came in for valentine's day dinner, ordered a drink and appetizers. As we were enjoying our appetizers rats ran under our table through the restaurant. We feel as though this wasn't handled appropriately, several staff saw the rats, our waiter who walked away and came back with our bill. The staff continued to seat and serve guest despite being aware of the rats. Would not recommend this location to friends and family until they address the rodent issues.
Service was great. But the food was not exactly traditional Indian food if that's your expectation. More of an American fusion. Naans were pretty good but were dripping with Olive oil instead of butter / ghee. The kulfi was not frozen, the kofta did not have sufficient gravy - again not up to the expectations of traditional Indian food but overall decent
Shared kitchen but not quality. They share the kitchen with Sababa, which has great food. The menu is original and very good use of spices. Not your typical Indian restaurant. Service was good. I had a problem with my martini and the waiter happily changed it out. Portions were good size. Naan was very good. But did not hold up to its sister Sababa. What is interesting is that it is part of the Knightsbridge restaurant chain and each restaurant is unique and over all very good. Top notch! Pricing very reasonable.
Service was great, food just ok. Atmosphere average. Depends on what you prioritize.
Local Woodley Park resident and Indian here! Ok this is basically Indian tapas. If you're anything like my Mom you're going to be like !! at the portion sizes if comparing to a regular Indian restaurant, but that's not what you should come here expecting. This is a funky, modern take on Indian food (/street food) that is worth trying. My must-haves are always the masala popcorn, the Kati Tikka roll, and really any of the entrees. But, it's not 5 stars simply because the food is just good (not amazing), it's the variety that's great. This location is on par with the Foggy Bottom one as well. Ambiance is very date-nighty, so it would be a nice place to bring a special someone too :) Helpful hint--if you like saucy/curry, ask for extra to your dishes, they can be on the dry side (whether deliberate or not).
Very friendly service (he wasn't super attentive but cared about the customers). Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Very cozy ambience inside.
I have traveled to India three times over the past 10 years or so and found this street food to be an excellent example of what one is able to purchase when in India. I would return. The service was excellent, as was the food that we ordered.
