We came for brunch prior to a matinee at the Kennedy Center, only to discover that there was no brunch menu. We were able to order mimosas from our attentive server. The food was good, but not spectacular (especially for the price). The decor of the place is cool (very 70s vibe), and the location relative to the Kennedy Center is ideal, but I don’t plan to return.

Wouldn’t ever go back to this place .

Underwhelmed with the overall experience. There was no one there when we arrived but we had to wait until our reservation time before they would seat us. Everything was blah and we were warned not to lean too far forward or back in the chairs because they tip over. Sounds like it might be time to get new chairs. The service was good and everyone was pleasant and went above and beyond but it still did not help with the overall experience. Very disappointing.

This was very expensive pub food. It was served like it was fancy, but it was not. The hot smoked salmon wasn’t smoked, the burger was good but now worth $26. The chips and dip were good -but deep fried pita is unhealthy overkill.

The Kingbird Restaurant at the Watergate Hotel recently re-opened, and it was worth the wait. New chef, superb food and impeccable service. Will be back!

Very quiet like museum/library quiet. Also service wasn’t great.

We celebrated TWO birthdays in the midst our family reunion — and everyone left feeling special. As a tea connoisseur, I appreciated the care and thought put into the tea list. We are avid tea drinkers and the pots were ample enough for each of us to enjoy without running the server ragged. Christina took excellent care of us and also arranged the Scandal Room tour. From start to finish this tea experience is worthy of the Watergate Hotel.

Great time and even greater service

The biggest crime committed at the Watergate is actually the french onion soup and smoked salmon. It was poorly executed with limited fresh ingredients. Although the waitstaff and management were kind, it could not make up for such bad quality food. I would recommend choosing dinner elsewhere.

Henrie was an amazing and attentive waiter. He told us about places to see and visit off of the beaten path. He was incredibly personable and I would be delighted to eat there again. I would highly recommend him and the Kingbird to anyone!
